Chris Duhon looked like a damn good guard in the first half of the season. Later, as the minutes got to him and nagging injuries pecked away, he regressed and the Knicks subsequently stumbled out of the playoff race.

Is there anyone here that thinks Duhon can come back next year stronger and better prepared to run MDA's offense for an entire season?

I think, yes, we should not give up on Duhon yet.

Its too bad Duhon was so bad down the stretch- even if he just leveled off a bit he would've been tremendous trade bait.

I still think the Knicks may be able to get something decent for him - we should look at what deals might be out there, especially if we're drafting PG.

so you think we should trade him? you don't think he will stick around? is it safe to say that Curry will be our future pg?

duhonr was slowed by injuries during the 2nd half and also logging so many minutes since we really did not have a true back-up PG.

I see duhorn as a back -up PG. He'll fit right in backing up Stephen Curry

i'd have no problem w/Duhon starting at PG again next year... he was always a stopgap solution anyway & next year is another stopgap year before 2010 rolls around... anyone who has any grand illusions of making noise in the playoffs next year w/this current roster is fooling themselves again just like they did last year.

If we draft Curry or another pg, I expect Duhon to start when the season begins until Curry or the other rookie shows he can carry the load.

that's probably how it would shake out.

We don't have to give up on him this season. He will be gone after next season.

I think Duhon's not gonna be here next year, so if you can get some kind of value for him (i.e. move up in the draft) you should.

we could offer Duhon up for Brendan Haywood straight up, but i doubt MDA wants to go into another offseason having to teach 2 PG's how to run his system again (assuming Nate's on his way out)

Duhan is a tough kid but I dont think a hard worker, if that makes sense.

He won't back down, which makes him a good tough resiliant player... But I don't see him coming into camp in great shape... He seems like a party hard type of guy who doesnt push himself on his own... Prolly lacks self disciplin but at the same time wont back down from a challenge. He's the type that would prolly respond well to all the attention someone like Eddy Curry is getting.. But wont do it on his own

Yup... why people would want to give him up and turn 48 minutes over to rookies/d-leaguers is beyond me. Yes, Duhon hit a wall last season, but if the team can actually keep Duhon's minutes closer to his 28.1 career average as opposed to the 36.8 last season, maybe the team will be able to have someone mentor the Knicks point guard of the future--and excel on the court.

Trade Duhon? What, for an expiring and a second? Say what you want about his on-court performance, but there is no arguing about his knowledge of the game. If you don't think, say, Stephen Curry won't be a better his sophomore year as a result of being shown the ropes by Duhon, YOU ARE CRAZY

trade him for tj ford.

what is it exactly that tj does at every stop that wears out his welcome?

he's insecure and in all 3 stops, he's had a high quality backup ready to take his spot.

milwaukee, he got hurt and mo williams stepped in.
toronto, he got hurt and jose stepped in.
in indy, they asked him to not run the offense, which castrated him.

you give him the keys and let him run your team, then you will win. every healthy year he starts, his team makes the postseason.
