Miami and Atlanta but both have better players than the knicks!
So there are no teams worse than the knicks.

Is Dolan the sole reason why the knicks are so terrible?

Record-wise, the bottom of the league standings are Miami, Orlando and the Knicks (all under .300).

If it keeps on going like this, we'll have a great chance of getting the #1 pick next draft.

IMO we'll be one of the 2 worst teams in the NBA by the end of the month; 9 or 10 games under .500.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

You guys are so funny! We haven't fielded a full roster yet and we have almost 70 games left. Stop acting like we have no team. Many teams come on strong by mid season to the end of the yr. The knicks will be one of those teams as soon as the whole roster will be healthy enough to play together.

C'mon Bro!! There's lots of basketball left. The Atlantic division so far is the weakest out of the 4 divisions. As of 11/23/03, Philadephia is the only team playing 500. ball.

Despite the knicks 4-9 record, they're only 2 1/2 games out of 1st place. The defending Eastern Conference punks, NJ Nets have already loss 5 games @ home. Last season, they didn't lose their fifth home game until somewhere around game #33 to 39.

Look, the Knicks will be some making noise in the East. They're still trying to get it together as a unit.
The Future. GO KNICKS!

We got pounded by Cleveland. The team has enough talent to win games and I believe teams take us lightly at times--giving us the oportunity to take advantage ala Boston second half last week.

Case in point--we shot the lIGHTS out, we dominated the boards against a smallish team with just as many injuries and a banged up Iversen and we were only up 6 with 3:00 at home.

While giving the Knicks all the credit for coming out and playing hard and effecient, what is the probability that Ward Andersen and Eisley will combine for 60 points on 55% shooting with Doleac blocking 5 shots ever again--even 1 more time? We have enough size and skill to win games and stay in the east playoff race because it's just so bad. Really, I anticipate 2-3 teasm sub 500 in the playoffs--is that an accomplishment? Of course the Knicks have a serious shot at one of those positions.

BUT this is not a 500 team, not even close iMHO. If we make the playoffs it will be with a 35-37 win season. I say that because I see how easily teams like LA and Detroit handle us. I see that because of nightly FT desparity. I see that because we lose to teams --blown out by Cleveland, only team to lose to Oralando lost twice to Bucks--with all of our guys sans Mcdyess who is just a ?????? While we will win some games and look good at times like last year, this is not a good team and one with a large amount of ? at season's end concerning personell and who we keep.

I take it Briggs that you didn't see how those role players have a lot of pride and want to be given an opportunity to earn their money. But as we are seeing when Houston is on the court, they might defer more over to him like the knicks of old did with Ewing and in that, they play passive when Houston is on the court. Now since we saw the team's effort with role players starting, Chaney has to put his role guys in a place to perform instead of playing passive as 3rd and 4th options on offense. Anybody who knows ball knows that when guys are involved on the offensive end, they tend to play better defensively.

they've had three years to earn their big time contracts. a good game here and there doesnt equate contribution compared to compensation.

for the question of pride, a player with pride doesnt care how many minutes he plays--when he is called upon he performs hard and well.

The rebuilding should start sooner than later. If we can get a good young player and pick, and retain Houston, Dyess, Milos, Lampe... we will be on our way.

The miricle in Milwaukee and Utah seem to be ending/

Every team in the midwest would be in first place.

its hard to really evaluate as the West is so strong.

Kt for Ricky davis straight up. Works for me.

What some of you don't understand is this , the players like Eisley , Anderson, Vanhorn , learned how to play good "team basketball" from a system that allows all the five guys on the court to be involved on offense. Sloan taught Eisley and Anderson how to play ball and Rick Majerus taught Vanhorn the same way. It is now up to Chaney to convince his team to play that way at all times during a game so that the defenses can't focus on one player at a time. If done those role players will make more of an impact in games than what we are seeing on a regular basis. Look at how the JAZZ infuse players after MALONE and STOCTON and they keep rolling along.

I say a players who's limited and his playing days are short doesn't care how many minutes he plays but when he is inserted he gives his all. But a player with pride who has "A lot left in the tank " knows the more minutes he gets, will allow him to heat up and put up decent numbers.

IF ricky can back up H20, and play small forward, Yes we can trade him.

Cavs can reup KT if they want to keep him.

we need a young athletic type.

Salaries match up well.

ONly problem is Ricky is a selfish player thus far.
