First, let's analyze the so-called weaknesses, according to NBAdraft.net:

"Not a true point, more of a combo" ... that is not a weakness, next

"Must continue to develop his point guard skills" ... solution? a weekend at the Rucker, next

"Can learn to become a better floor general, distributing the ball, setting everyone up" ... sounds like a plus to me, the operative word is "can"

"Needs to gain experience" ... experience? that can be arranged, next

"Must get stronger physically"... a few extra reps in the gym can solve that, next

"His ball handling ability is solid, but can improve" ... that is a weakkness, sounds like PO-tential to The Answer Man

Now for the good news - " Very quick, athletic and explosive, gets by his man and to the rim with ease ... Shoots the ball well out to college three ... Very good in the full court game, able to find teammates on the break with great vision"

I keep on reading that his "stock is moving up." I assume that this is because he is working out somewhere on the West Coast with Calathes, Clark, and I think Blair.

My understanding is that he can use either hand going to the basket, and can even shoot jumpers with his off hand. I was not impressed with him when I saw him play, but I wonder if the system he was in best highlighted his talents. He is still 18, too, so he has a long way to go in terms of maturity, both physically and mentally.

I really think that we are going to pick up a decent player no matter who we pick.

My short list is Curry, DeRozan, and Holiday (long shot pick), although it looks like we have no interest in DeRozan because I have never heard his name mentioned anywhere. I would like to hear more about Evans and how his workouts are going, especially in regard to his shot. He still intrigues me.
