The real question is whether he is a star yet?

Are the Nets looking to get under the cap also?

Vince Carter....they were a lottery team with him...they have good youth on the tean as is and could pull a shooting guard talent @11 in the draft. Larry Hughes contract is what 4 years shorter and expires after next season???

Yi is a valuable player on and off the court, he'd also bring in millions of Chinese fans to MSG (irony??? Lmao). He's a skilled power fwd in the same mold as Gallo just taller, but lacking in the balls department. I dunno If the Knicks wanna trade for Yi cuz the draft pick would almost definately be included.

If we put Yi next to Lee, it makes Lee look as tough as Paul Milsapp by comparison, so that is a bonus!

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Why exactly would we trade Hughes for vince Carter?
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

anyone know if Vince has a buyout in 2011 that will count a portion of his team option salary against the cap? or do NBA contracts not work that way?

Many on this board knew Yi sucked and ripped Thorn the day the trade happened, including me. Jefferson is a serious baller in his prime...he could have gotten a lot more for him than a middle of the road prospect like Yi.

Thorn tried to get way too cute on this one. Now he's got to correct his mistake.

Okay by me.

I don't understand Yi, or Frank's use of him this year. A few times this year he played smart, though not great, ball. But he spent a lot of time on the bench and, way too often, he looked lost or depressed or something on the court. I think the right team might make good use of Yi. He'll never be a star but he could be a solid contributor off the bench.

Is Yi really 34? I didn't follow the business about his age closely.

Look at Ol' Captain-Save-A-Thorn right here. Like a minuteman ready to run and defend the honor of Thorn at a moments notice.

Jefferson was considerd an All-Star in his prime when they traded him.
