In there 4 wins against NO they kept the Hornets down to an average of 81.5 points and Dallas down to 103.5

Defense is important as is scoring enough to win. The absolute best defensive team in the league doesn't always win the NBA title, tho. It should be the team that best combines offense and defense. The Knicks have a long way to go in terms of building this team defensively. Right now we have to 1st concentrate on making the team better period!!!!

We can't just look for defensive players and expect to win. The Nuggets just made more of a committment to D after 1st putting together a very talented team.

I guess trading AI for Chauncy Billups had nothing to do with it. It was all Karl & his emphasis on Defense.
