Let's say predictions hold true and the Knicks pick up Stephen Curry in the draft. And let's also imagine Steve Nash leaves Phoenix for a D'Antoni reunion.

This sounds like an awesome situation. Instead of Duhon you have a former all-star, who can also be a locker-room leader running your point without burning the "old" man out, while he grooms your future PG for you.

And this is the rest of your 2009-2010 squad:
Nate & Lee (because of NBA frugality, their value has dropped and you can resign both)
Chandler, My Protege, Rooster, Hughes, Q-Rich, JJ Skinny, Fat Curry, Wilcox

While Chris Mullin becomes the Darth Vader to Walsh's emperor, with H20 in the building to lead the team prayers.

How comfortable are you with this imagined future?

Ok, here's my deal on this. I think I really like Gallo. of course, it starts with a healthy back w/ him. But of all the positive things we can say about him, we know he's not a lights out athlete. So, despite his best efforts (and he is a high effort guy) he won't be a high level defender or rebounder. Then as your next core player (discounting Chandler for a moment) you add the point guard version of Gallo (Curry---a high IQ, highly skilled, shooter/passer but also with below avg athletic ability). Can we afford to do that?
