I'm goin Billups to Denver.. he single-handedly changed that team and I personally think they are going to come out of the West.

The crazy thing was Denver was trying to trade for Artest as well. Imagine Artest, Billups, and Melo on the same team.

Billups to Denver was probably the best, but another worthy of mention is Salmons to Chicago.

Skip to my Lou to Orlando
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Billups is a game and team changer.
He represents all NBA players should be.
Any executive who is trading such player is dumb or desperate (having hard time after being dumb).

He is Steph antipode.
Any executive who is trading for player like Steph (or Iverson at their age) is dumb or desperate (having hard time after being dumb).

Well, in defense of Detroit, they did this deal thinking they would be in a better position to get a player in 2010 (Lebron anyone?) while still competing this season.

Not a bad strategy for a team in need of a new direction.

I gotta also nominate Iverson to Detroit... simply because Joe Dumars talked people into believing that deal was more than a salary dump

Sounds like Knicks strategy?
Fortunately we have nothing and nobody to lose.

this billups lovefest is disgusting. On top of that you're ALL WRONG.

Cavs trading for Mo Williams is the easily the best trade of the year. Does anybody even know what they gave up to get him?

I voted for the Billups trade but Miller and Salmons to Chicago worked out pretty well also.

good point. though would the cavs not be making the east finals even without him? i dont think denver was going to be this high a seed and then play this well without cb.

I think the Billups for Iverson trade was very similar to the Kidd for Marbury trade.

Chauncey deserves some credit but IMO having MARTIN AND NENE HEALTHY FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE YEAR is the biggest difference in Denver this year vs years past

this year was the first time they've played this much together since Martin came to Denver

how?

Billups didn't takeover a lottery team and make them a contender
