I would trade KT if we are not in a playoff rum=n by the trade deadline !!!!! And i would only trade him for a #1 DRAFT PICK !! i realize you might think that is too much to ask for but if he is avg. a double double a team like the LAKERS ( who have no backup PF/C ) the CELTICS, ORLANDO, HOUSTON, MINN & MEMPHIS all have a need for a player like KT & all are playoff teams except ORLANDO so a #1 lottery protected pick isn't out of the question !!!! THINK ABOUT IT !!!!
What does DICK CHANEY & DON CHANEY have in common ?? They both accidentally fell into a job they don't deserve & really suck at doing it !!!! Both need to be fired !!!

Agree with your thinking, Snowman. If he keeps playing like he is, there would be interest (we could get younger talent now, instead, and I'd be all for it). KT is at his peak value. He's going to get more expensive and less productive. I'd take on someone who's on the upswing in terms of productivity:cost even if their current stats don't quite match KT's.

teams under the cap can only trade a draft pick for a player.
THE PROBLEM AT HAND MUST BE SOLVED WITH A HIGHER LEVEL OF THINKING THAN THAT IN WHICH IT WAS CREATED: ALBERT EINSTIEN

If it came down to trading KT, I would definitely do that. I would love to make a deal like that to Orlando...

It would have to be a team that believes he would want to sign or extend his contract with, though. There are alot of teams that could use his double-double average.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

But that begs the obvious question: why can't we use his double-double average? I'm still not sold on trading the only semblance of personality (save Deke's constant complaining and the occasional three-point celebration from KVH) this team has currently. If we bring in rookies, who are they going to learn pro attitude from? Archbishop Charlie Ward?

Let it be known: I believe in the Knicks this year-- deep into the playoffs, I swear to you my brothers...

Well if KT opts out, the Knicks get nothing in return. It's an option where at least NYK gets some compensation for him leaving anyway.

"archbishop Charlie"... LOL
The rooks can also learn from Cardinal Houston, too.
