Yeah. From the sounds of it there is an explanation behind the sensationalized headline...nothing taken, no forced entry?

But duke has got to be more careful. People are praying for his downfall, and his every move will be overly scrutinized and is subject to the court of public approval. He has too much to lose to be acting like a typical dumbass teenager.

LOL, throw the book at him but excuse the guy with the coke problem because he said he reformed and tested clean a couple of times.

if there was no forced entry & nothing was stolen, exactly what is the charge other than possibly trespassing on someone else's property? doesn't "breaking & entering" imply forced entry?

Typical over charging. happens all the time.

i know it happens all the time... it's ridiculous tho... why tarnish a kid's record like this? even tho this stuff usually gets wiped clean if the charges are later dropped, u still expose this kid to the process of getting arrested, getting booked & going to holding to be processed... & i'm pretty sure the fact that you were arrested still shows up on your record if someone runs an indepth background check on you so that could be an issue for a future job... if u'r gonna charge someone, charge them for what you SAW them do, not what u THINK they did, unless u have witnesses & physical evidence to support those charges... the story said the cop saw him walking out from behind the house, not that the cop saw him walking out OF the house... that's a huge difference there... if there's no evidence that the kid was ever inside the house at all then charging him w/breaking & entering is total BS.

That quote makes it seem like they saw him leaving from the house.

There was no forced entry and nothing was taken. B + E is a gross overcharge.

Sounds like at worst all he was guilty of was trespassing.

well, hopefully this means Wall declares for the draft now... every good prospect helps the Knicks' cause... not like we woulda been able to draft him next year anyway... he probably won't fall to us but he'll push other guys down a notch at least... maybe my guy will be on the board now at #8.

unless some GM's get scared off by this BS episode & they let him drop to us... that would be a windfall for the Knicks.
