Giving Charlie Ward, Spoon and Othella?

Why would the Suns do it? They can buyout Ward. Othella has a short CAP friendly contract and they want to get rid of Penny's contract. They would need to take one of our BAD contracts to make this deal.

Penny is relegated to 8th man. He has a Houston type contract(1 year less).

nah,not for that contract.we need a young quick athletic slasher with range.IMO he lost a step,although he still has a little jumper but thats ok.

Nah, Penny stopped being Penny when he left Orlando. Another former "star" who turned out to be a has-been in his prime years.

Only to get rid of equally overpaid players. Don't know how the contracts work, but getting rid of some combination of our real albatrosses ... Eisley/Spoon/Shandone ... might make sense. While ridiculously overpaid given where his game is now, Penny is still better than these guys. Also, you could free up a roster spot or two. But it still feels like a lot of noise w/o much impact.

i would deal eisley and weatherspoon for penny - but they don't make enough for the deal to go through... you'd have to toss ward in there.

Thats a great deal, so we can pin our hopes on 2 surgically FAILED knees. Get a grip people, we need to draft young and grow from there - our current roster isnt going to win us anything on the trade wires...MAYBE KT but def not Ward and his friendly contract (if its so friendly why has nobody taken him yet?) and the rest of the squad are overpaid bums.

i agree with oasis,

and another fact, getting rid of our bums for different bums is pointless. come on people wake up. Penny hardaway...lol does he lead this team to the promise land.

You guys are missing the point its a trade made to create roster spots . Right now any 2 for 1 trade makes sense for this team. They are overlaoded at certain positions and you have to dump some of these guys off. That is the only way to get balnce to the team.

I'm with Ares and Oasis on this one too. We don't kneed a deal like that. LOL

The scary thing is, based on Laydown's history getting players on this squad, he'd prolly do it. He's already the worst GM in Basketball, what does he have to lose?
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
