Dwight Howard and especially Chris Paul look like better bets to jump ship than D Wade or Lebron.

If we dont get either of those two, I dont want to see the Knicks overpay for Chris Bosh, Amar'e or Nowitzki. Paul is almost a guarantee at this point and the Magic are a poorly constructed team with little flexibility --- Howard's going to catch on. Just wait it out till '11?

We eshould make a poll to see who would be willing to wait for 2011, and if its favorable, send the results to donnie walsh. i think i would be down for an extra year if it means paul or howard. they are 1-st class stars as opposed to bosh and amare who are 2-nd or 3-rd class stars. and dirk will be too old.
WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

Chris Paul & Dwight are both guaranteed through the end of the 11/12 season... neither of them won't be going anywhere til 2012 at the earliest unless their teams decide to trade them for some inexplicable reason.

I also think Paul & Howard as FA targets fit much better with where the Knicks will be in terms of rebuilding/shedding contracts.

Lets face it, the supporting cast we're going to be able to offer up to LeBron will suck. We have this year's draft pick, and that is basically it- I don't see Walsh buying a pick this year.

Unless Eddy Curry goes to a fat farm and JJ wakes up with Allan Houston's jumpshot, what exactly do we have on this roster?

Better to realize 2010 is not it, and to build a real foundation. Sign Lee to a reasonable deal if you think he can be productive in 2012 and beyond, same for nate- if not, S&T or trade them over the next few years.

Seriously stink it up to grab lotto picks in 2011 & 2012.

Seb,

its possible to get our two max players but yes we might have to wait.

Lebron can come, and then an year later we can get him his Robin.

Phuch it, let him pick whom he wants!!!

2010 is one thing, but to expect James Dolan to sit patiently while the team rebuilds for another 2 years after that I think is unrealistic... he's gonna demand some major returns in 2010 & beyond... Walsh got him into buying into the 2010 plan because of the big names that are gonna be available that year... if the Knicks don't get any of them that year he's not gonna wait another 2 years til CP3 & Dwight become available... he's gonna want to make a run at the playoffs & then worry about 2012 in 2012 IMO.
