Neo was definitely on my short list too... so was the T1 Terminator... but in the end, i had to narrow it down to characters w/a little personality as well as bad assness.

Rambo's a good choice... & i disagree on Vader > Maul... Maul has more bad assness factor... Vader's just cool, but not quite as bad ass... fighting 2 jedi's at the same time & demonstrating extremely cool weaponry & fighting moves wins you the bad ass award here.
