My favorite was back when I was in highschool. We had one kid(we will call him Craig because, well because that's his name) who was notoriously into himself and only cared about how many points he scored. It's the first game of the season and we are playing one of our rivals. Down 1 with 5 or 6 seconds left the coach calls time out and draws up a play. Option one is Craig but there are 2 other options before the play breaks down. The ball gets inbounded to me, Craig starts coming off the screen. Before I can pass the ball to Craig I see to my left our 2 guard wide open without a person within 15 feet of him. He was out by the 3 point line and somehow they completely missed him. I pass him the ball, he sprints to the basket and lays it in at the buzzer. We obviously jump all over each other and celebrate all the way into the locker room. Afterwards we are all rehashing the play and laughing but Craig is dead silent and looking depressed. One of my teammates turns to him and asks what's wrong? Craig says:
"It was a great shot and everything but I was open and you guys never pass me the ball".
That has stuck with me for over a decade.
I just hope that people will like me

Last night during the game some snot blew out of my nose and I had to wipe it with my shirt, leaving a stain. This is the funniest moment in recent memory.

At the beginning of a pickup game, years back, I once accidentally blocked my own teammates shot, thinking he was on the other team.
hehe. That reminded me of one that happened to me. In school there is a fitness center that overlooks the basketball court. It was a summer league and we were doing pre game warmups. I friend of mine whipped off his sweats and went in for a layup. Unfortunately he forgot his shorts and was running in his tighty whities. At that point it was too late to avoid embarrassment so he continued to run around in his tighty whities until the league commissioner threatened to expel him. There is much debate over whether he did this on purpose or not. Either way, it was still funny

Played a pick up 3-on-3 last week. My friend, myself and some stranger against three random college age lookin kids at the park. We pretty much wiped these kids out early and the game was almost embarrassing. As I'm about to suggest switching up teams, the kid on the opposite team says to the stranger on my team, "You sweat too much. Stop sweating so much. It's disgusting." He then walked off the court on the verge of tears. Never seen that before.

LOL Bip, I am cracking up - too loud for work too. Good god, that is hilarious
3 or 4 of us literally peed our pants. You have to picture this kid about 6-2 all knees and elbows. Not an ounce of muscle on him. Dark skinned with immaculately clean tighty whities. His reaction was too real for it not to have been a mistake. But I've nver understood how soemone can actually take 5 or 6 steps without knowing that they are virtually naked. Still up for debate.

One that springs to mind is this old ass kockeyed fool that hit the court and immediately started poppin shyt the minute he arrived...
"You young m-fluckas" aint shyt I'm about do do you little "brothas" old school style." Stuff like that. The Metamucil and b.s was flyin'. He gets run and his stuff is just getting air mailed. Gettin' spanked and stripped like the high school hoe on prom night.
Even his delusional ass was starting to get embarrassed so he immediately walks off the court and starts coaching!! Trust this was straight ridiculously funny. Like right in the middle of their offensive set, he walks off and starts calling playing like Auerbach. His team starts screaming cause its now 5 on 4, but he doesnt care. "I'm bout to teach you punk m-fluckas how to play the GAAAAME" "Hustle, young BUCK" GET THAT BALL". Screaming shyt like that. Bizarre.
After about a couple of minutes one of his teammates had enough. He throws his Gatorade bottle at him and tells him to get the fluck out if he isnt going to start playing. He saunters off muttering to himself. Mind you he really wasnt that old. Like in his 30s, we were teenagers.
