You gotta get more than Javale McGee for David Lee. I'd rather keep Lee at those dollars.

I think Mcgee will be way better than David Lee long term--Mcgee has star potential--this is where you get these guys--like when Walsh grabbed Jermaine Oneal.

I don't see it with McGee. He looks decent but I don't see a special talent there...not even sure he's a double double guy. To be honest with you I'd rather nab Andray Blatche. I think he's on the verge of blowing up.

Thats a bad example. He traded a fading Dale Davis for Jermaine O'neal. You dont trade a rising star like David Lee for a huge question mark, thats suicide. I dont care how overrated David Lee might be, you cant do that trade given how valuable of an asset he is.

I know Washington would do it in a heartbeat.

I like MgGee, but that's a pretty risky trade. Lee is far more proven.

IMO the only trades we should be looking to make w/WAS is to move up to their lottery slot.

I like it! A young F/C who is athletic with potential. It also allows us to keep Nate (if we want to) and have more money freed up for 2010. We're not going to land a top PF/C for Lee anyway (without giving up picks), so if not McGee - who should we trade Lee for that doesn't a) tie up our salary cap, and b) returns us a young forward with potential?

I add enough to many threads, just not the repetitive Briggs ones. Don't single me out as me being the only one with that problem. I don't like seeing good threads pushed down to page 2 because someone decided to make 3 threads per day on similar issues, that is all.

If I was wash I wouldnt do it either.

That being said they just hired a WIN NOW coach. they do have two young bigs AND Haywood --would a change to the more mature [in game and mind] Lee be attractive to Saunders? They could move Jamison to 3 and Butler to 2.

Isnt it worth to ask

I think you can get more for DLee than just McGee and Mike James for filler. If you add Nick Young into the package then I would go for it. DLee would fit in with Agent Zero, Caron and Jamison.
