So the ESPN site has its annual Mock Draft with the "Play Lottery" function. You can go and do it here: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/lottery2009/mockdraft

I was wondering in which scenarios NY would be able to move up, pressed play and this scenario appeared:

I would be very happy with that result. Hopefully this is what happens!

Don't want it to jinx us, but I got the same on the 2nd try, and the #1 pick on both the 3rd and 4th...time to step aside and save some of this luck for the lottery.

I some how ended up with 4 blake griffins in about 12 tries. I did it about another 50 times and got 1 more blake griffen and a 3rd pick of James Harden (blech). No Rubios here. ESPN seems pretty intent on getting us Stephen Curry
You know I gonna spin wit it

If we win the lottery, do you pick Griffin or select Rubio?

If we get the No. 1.....

Use the demand for Griffin to move some contracts and trade with the team holding the 2nd pick.

That way we get Rubio and move out maybe Jeffries contract and take back something expiring...

Win - Win

We get Rubio and move out some more 2010 space

We would go with Griffin as he is the consensus #1.

As for the mock, I got that result under the first 10 tries, maybe 6th or 7th. After that I got a Blake Griffin one. Then it gets tiring

That, my friend, would be a heck of a move that I could see happening.

I can see it as something that might happen if Sacromento gets 2nd and we get 1st.

We almost sent them Jeffries before the deadline this year. Not sure if Nate could be added into that down the line after he is able to be re-signed for a trade

I hate to brake it to y'all, but in reality the first try is the only try that matters

I dont know if thats entirely true,

I think the 1st pick represents what is most likely to happen based upon the percentages.

I dont know that the first pick is actually a random selection based upon the odds.

Otherwise, the 1st time wouldnt be the same every time.........right?

Case study: Last year the Bulls win the lottery with one of the lowest percentages, so since its a lottery, anything can happen. The better percentages, the better odds, but if that guaranteed you the pick, it wouldn't be a lottery.

Ohh sorry Supreme, didn't know you wrote the rules. Then you did a lousy job leaving the "play lottery" option available after the first try. Work better next time.

If Stern was smart, the fix would be in.
