Based on what has been written by "experts" most have Rubio top 2, and has no chance of being there at 8.
Chad Ford's new article expressed this after a GM he says this: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2009/columns/story?columnist=ford_chad&page=DraftWatch-090410 A number of NBA executives are calling the 2009 NBA draft the weakest in years. Blake Griffin is a surefire superstar and Ricky Rubio looks like a future star as well (if he declares and stays in the draft). But after that there's a lot of confusion. The GM he says has a good "track record" for drafting said this about Rubio: Ricky Rubio, PG, Spain Basically, that's the reason I didn't put him in the poll. No way he lasts to 8, baring the team he plays for asking for a $30 mil buyout or something. [Edited by - PresIke on 04-16-2009 7:08 PM] Forum Po Po and #33 for a reason...

I got Brandon Jennings.. although it was close between him and my man Maynor.

I think that list typifies why I'm not excited about this draft. Not sure there is a star in that whole group.

If the Knicks and Donnie are smart, they guarantee Rubio their pick and shut him down. And why would Rubio do that? Because D'Antoni's offense is perfect for him. And being in NY he will have lots of financial advantages.

the only chance the Knicks have at Rubio is if they trade up to the top 3, or they get lucky in the draft & win a top 3 pick... Rubio would be a fool to shut himself down to drop down 6-7 slots in the lottery & give up all that rookie scale contract money, i don't care what kinds of endorsement opportunities exist in NY... an 18 year old kid will take a few years to develop & until he does that he won't be getting all that many endorsement deals coming his way unless he's just simply a phenom that transcends the game like Tiger Woods.

I picked Derozan. I've been pretty high on this guys since somebody posted the clip about him and the other dude picking USC... I think he could be a special player. Number 2 option is tyreke evans. Past that, I'd like Jennings.

I know how people feel about it, but I went out on a limb and picked Curry

Probably DeRozan, Teague, Evans, Maynor - in that order. I like Willie Warren a lot too. But Teague's really my guy. I hope he's still there when we pick.

I would take either Derozan or Evans but Im starting to think they both wont be there. Also I bet who ever drafts Thabeet will be happy next year--he wont be a Knick but he will help an NBA team in a big way quickly.

I think we may go towards Peter Flynn as he can probably step into the PG position here as a rookie.

Posted by Knicksfan:Posted by BRIGGS: I know that's a scenario. Im not really in love with this draft after those guys --I would have to think about that. I would like to look at a scenario where we could trade down and grab Mullens and a 2010 1st round pick Something like Pick 8 to Pheonix for pick 14 and Pheonix 2010 pick RIP Crushalot😞
