seems like the last handful of seasons the knicks have chugged along just close enough to the playoff picture to keep us interested (and get certain people big extensions) only to fail embarrassingly down the stretch. so i looked it up:

05-06 we went 9-28 in Feb thru April
06-07 we went 12-21 in Feb thru April, 6-16 in March thru April
07-08 we went 9-27 in Feb thru April
08-09 we went 11-24 in Feb thru April

i don't think we ever admitted we were tanking, but that's at least what it looks like. except we didn't have our own #1 for one or two of those years... anyway, whether or not you agree with tanking in general, this has to stop.

next year, Utah gets our pick. and if we want to make a good impression on some FAs, we can't go on one-for-eleven streaks to fall out of the East playoff picture. so as i see it, that will be the sign for if d'antoni and walsh have started to really turn this around. we may make a splash at the trade deadline, but we still have to close the season hard.

that's as much as a rant or eulogy about this season as you'll get from me.

D'antoni and walsh will be making some moves during the off season. They will try to unload Curry, Jeffries and some of the expiring contracts to better the team.

Already it looks as if Duhorn will be put to the bench as a back-up and they'll look to get a premiere starting pg. ex. raymond felton.

also, walsh suggested he might trade for a pick in next yr's draft since they one they have will go to Utah. Hopefully knicks make the playoffs next yr and be listed somewhere in the 20's on the draft which will belongs to Utah.
