Agent Dan Fegan believes the Nets are to blame for Yi Jianlian's disappointing season.

"In the 10 games Yi has played 30-plus minutes and taken 10 or more shots, he has averaged 17.5 points, shot 47 percent, 40 from 3-point line, and 7.3 rebounds," Fegan said. "You can't just fake that. Those are strong numbers for any player -- let alone a second-year player."

Fegan believes that New Jersey is stalling Yi's development.

"They Nets were 18-18 before Yi got injured. Then they were 6-10 when he was out. And they've been a dismal 14-29 since he broke his finger and eventually taken out of the rotation," Fegan said.

"To me, the question isn't Yi's performance or upside. The real question is this: How can a team go from 18-18 and sixth place in the Eastern Conference before he gets hurt to seven games out of playoff contention now?

"It begs the question," the agent concluded. "What happened, and who's accountable?"

I don't know about that stat man. I haven't seen him play much but wasn't impressed when I did. I think they pulled him out when he wasn't playing good and left him in when he was, pretty much why he doesn't play much...

C'mon Thorn stans...ride in and defend your man against this Heathen!

There is no possible way that Thorn could have miscalculated and made a bad trade that everybody saw coming. Thorn is between the nexus of Beethoven, Chuck Norris, and Jesus. There must be some sort of explanation and I'm waiting for you kind groupies to make it.

He apparently blew it with their bad boy shot blocking center but damn did he get it right with Harris for an aging kid. Lopez was nice too, but he fell in their laps...

I think the Yi move was made for cap considerations also but I am not positive. Yi's biggest problem is that he plays for Lawerence Frank. Frank is not into developing players and is loyal to veterans. Yi needs to be given consistent minutes.

It was- they were looking to shed RJ's contract primarily and also get some value for him. Yi is only 21- too early to say whether they screwed up there.

Lopez had 18-20 last night--shouldve had something like 24-23 because he had 18-18 at the end of 3.

I would be all over Dejuan Blair if i was the Nets. I hate this mobile 4 crap. Yi scks--I would see if I could trade him. Lopez is the steal of the draft--Lopez and Randolph who also had 24-16-4-3 last night.

Huge game by Randolph last night. He was hitting jumpers from all over (minus 3 range). I think Gallo will be huge for us, but can't understand not getting a second pick for the guy. I still see Randolph being a tweener, playing the 3, which is not so bad. Glad you said it, Yi does suck, apparently. Aldrich is out of this draft so wonder what we will do at center???
