I approve of this move. The thing is that MDA will learn a lot about these guys running them in practice for an extended look. You can't just throw them in games, but you get to see little nuances about a player when you have no distractions that you have when you're trying to win a game. Thus it's a great way to learn more about a player. What do we have to lose?

It is a;lways fun to check out these guys - we have nothing to lose.
But Sene was cut by OK City, a team with a much worse record than ours - only 21 wins. Maybe he has some upside???? but he is very raw and he has been in the NBA for 3 yrs already.

I never said Sene or any of these guys are good. But here is the deal: They are young and unproven. Jeffries and Q are veterans and proven...in sucking ass. We know what they are. Stop playing them 30 MPG and give these guys some time.

so mostly what you are asking for is an Isiah type move with Curry, right? Just throw him out there and see what sticks?

Lee, Nate, Chandler all got heavy minutes this year as they should have. After that you HAVE to give some of the vets minutes to hold the team together otherwise you lose them too and all is lost.

I'm talking about from last month when we got eliminated(not technically but it was over). He kept playing those guys heavy minutes. Hell, he's still doing it now. I bet you the only reason Sims and Crawford played last night was because we were down by 30. And they didn't even play all that much either.

I like how D'Antoni is pointing out NOW how his team has less blocks than some individual players.

These ex-Italian leaguers are sure quick on the uptake, aren't they?

I think it is a good move to try these guys out. I hope it indicates that the organization is recognizing a weakness and will attempt to fill it. I hope they are smart enough to realize that this weakness needs to be filled by more than a D League call up and consider bigs in the draft and in any off season moves. I hope that defensive forces who can't hit a three, are taller than 6'9", and can set a jarring pick are considered.
