Knicks are too. Check out the Detroit game!

MDA doesn't even have to go 12 deep. Just the regular rotation. Efficient!

Why did you start two threads on the same topic in the same day?

Hey Knicks did their job tonight--and your right they did a nice efficient job of it--done after Q1--it's in the teams best interests

No one is going to remember the last 3-4 games of this season--what NY fans want is to get better and they can start by getting us the best chance at winning this frinkin lotto now that we have a real chance

In the last 14 games we are 2-12 and Toronto is 7-7
Since February 2nd we are 9-24 and Toronto is 11-18

The Knicks are doing exactly what we say Toronto is doing
I just hope that people will like me

Toronto was playing hard and trying to win because they did have a shot at the playoffs. Once they lost that chance, they are tanking. But they aren't alone. Looking at the standings, virtually all of the lower teams are on losing streaks and are going something like 2-8 over the last 10 games. They want better lottery picks. And the better teams are on win streaks. They want a higher position in the playoffs.

I hate to say this but I do hope we don't win any more games....except maybe NJ - our last game. This year is over....and we should play the younger guys more - like Sims, Sene, Crawford. See what they can do.

You are dead right--to even have a discussion of having even a shot at the top picks we HAVE to lose the last 3 games. Winning ANY of them effectively ends ANY discussion of Blake Griffin Rubio or anyone else who might go 1-2-3. At 7 you have a legit chance--at 9 or worse the odds go wildly out of favor.

It's so weird that teams are allowed to tank. Isn't there a way to fix this? But Toronto was on a 6 or 7 game win streak a few days ago, how are they in full tank mode?

Yes, I think there is a way to do it. You have to make the last 20-30 games of the season count less, or not at all.
Or perhaps take a 2-3 year average, so the teams that consistently suck have better odds.

Win the lotto? I thought we were in it for the 8th slot? Where do we stand now?

i would probably attribute that to it being the last home game of the season.

also in related local news:
Quincy Douby signed a partially guaranteed contract with the Raptors that will keep him with team through next fall's training camp.

Chad Ford's Lotto Simulator has us taking James Harden now. Only problem is that he has Monroe and Davis going above us and its not certain they're coming out.

Davis says he's staying for sure. He's giving up some major cash, but I guess I can see the logic if he's going to be a focal point for them, but UNC has about six new front court studs coming in next year.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

You know, I really get the feeling that we are going to go for the most ready to play guy and that is only a handfull of players. IF they can get Harden they probably will. A heady guy like him or that Buddinger from Arizona is my bet. I'd love one of the higher ceiling guys, but I don't think they will have the patience unless they feel that by trading Nate they might get that second pick and develop them. We have so many holes and I think the only patience they might have is at center. And even there Aldrich and Mullens would be nice off the bench off the bat.

if we decide to trade down then a guy like Budinger wouldn't be such a bad pick at all in the 15-20 range, but my guess is the Knicks will want to feature Gallo a lot more next year & Budinger may be superfluous to our current needs... we need a banger down low who can block some shots as well as a SG or PG we can groom for the future... Budinger's a good shooter no doubt & he's got size that will make him a tough cover for smaller 2's & he is versatile tho, so u never know... MDA does seem to like those multiple position players who can shoot the ball... i've always like Budinger & i think he's a nice team oriented player who plays the game w/smarts & passion that i like, but he isn't ****y or a showboater.
