Currently we have the following contracts in our roster.
Larry Hughes 47.7 47.7 1 TRT
Eddy Curry 36.1 36.1 2 TK
Al Harrington 34.3 34.3 1 -
Cuttino Mobley 33.2 33.2 1 -
Quentin Richardson 32.3 32.3 1 -
Chris Wilcox 25.1 25.1 0 TRT
Jared Jeffries 22.5 22.5 2 TK
Chris Duhon 20.8 20.8 1 -
Danilo Gallinari 10.7 10.7 3 -
Nate Robinson 7.5 7.5 0 -
David Lee 6.6 6.6 0 -
Wilson Chandler 4.4 4.4 2 -
Courtney Sims 0.3 0.3 0 TRS
Joe Crawford 0.1 0.1 0 TRS

Take out the 10 contracts of Sims and Crawford and you have 12 contracts to deal with.

Untouchables. I agree with D'Antoni here and hope the Godfather is listening, Gallo and The Mayor are mainstays for this team. We can definitely build around those 2 and I think they can rotate in 3 positions (2,3 and 4).

Assets. We have 5 huge expiring contracts in Harrinton, Mobley(?), Hughes, Q and Duhon. We can package any of them to get an almost superstar (i.e. Joe Johnson, Bosh, etc.) along with DLee and/or Nate and should still be able to land 1 max player in 2010.

Wilcox? I would only sign him to a cap friendly 1 or 2 year deal ala Duhon's contract.

1st move. Sign and Trade DLee with QRich and to Carlos Boozer and Harpring of Utah. Boozer's contract is expiring and Utah is probably looking for a cheaper alternative that also produces. Donnie can also try to pry a 1st rounder in the 2010 draft since we can actually come out with nothing if Boozer does not sign after his contract is over. DLee would look really good with Deron at the helm and AK47 can erase a lot of DLee's shortcomings.

2nd move. Sign and Trade Nate and Larry Hughes for Joe Johnson and Speedy Claxton. Atlanta will not want to lose Joe Johnson for nothing in 2010. Atlanta has been historically frugal and Marvin Williams and Zaza needing new contracts and Al Horford waiting for his payday as well. They will need to get a cheaper alternative that will bring fannies to the stadium. Enter KryptoNate.

We are still OK with the 2010 plan and have 2 potential players in 2010 in our hip pocket.

3rd move. We need an upgrade at PG for next year and the argument of Kidd vs Nash has been argued in UK for a over a week now. I would offer Al Harrington and Duhon's expring for Nash. I don't know why they would do this but that is as far as I would go. If not then try to sign Kidd to a 1 year deal.

Curry and and JJSkinny. I am afraid they are harder to move. ZBo and Jamal produced when they were here and same with Tiny Tim and that is why we were able to move them. JJSkinny can probably up his stock but Eddy is a lost cause. I think we end up eating his contract(pun inteded).

Draft. I would be looking for a Center or a PG here in our spot and try to purchase a 2nd first rounder to fill out needs. In a perfect Knick world we end up with Brandon Jennings in the 8th pick and purchase a late 1st rounder and get BJ Mullens.

New Roster for 2009/2010 Season

C-BJ Mullens
PF-Boozer
SF-The Mayor
SG-Joe Johnson
PG-Kidd or Nash

Bench for 8 man rotation - Gallo, Jennings, Harpring

Looks good to me.

He is an expiring next year. He is another 2010 player. 2nd tier below LeBron and Wade.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

You don't like Joe Johnson or Boozer? Also, you are not married to them until 2010 when we have to sign them and they are one of the original targets anyways for 2010. I don't get your reply.

How can you not laugh at Isiah?

Hey, I'd love it if you could pull off those trades. I'm not sure why the other teams would do any of those though.
