Can't force him but D'antoni said he'd allow it.....

He needs to be at every volentary workout till the begining of next season.

He should get on that p90x diet/excercise program when the season ends.....he'll be ready for the start of Summer league!!!!

He should be forced. He hasn't proved to the organization that he doesn't need to play summer league games.

Lets see what Chipper Jones thinks about this latest news and Curry's career as a Knick.

You're right but he doesn't have to go if he doesn't want to. Knicks can't force him to play in summer league. After the 2nd season they can do whatever want to do in the off-season.

Most of the players are there anyway just to chill, so he should play. What a waste of talent.

He's already had his off season- only he took it during the season.

Where it reads "might" it should say "must" or "will".

I guess posting his contract online somewhere would be out of the question, legally speaking?

Right, he's been loafing for over a year now, and suddenly, Feddy is going to start grinding his way back into some sort of non-pearlike shape so he can outplay Tractor Traylor?

Unless somebody can discover a clause where $21 million is going to be balanced on performance, this whole Curry thing is nothing more than Walsh waiting for some other GM to step up and volunteer for the career suicide award. One can only hope and pray that some team, somewhere, hires IT.

I think Curry at the beginning of the season will tell us how motivated he is to have a comeback season. I think in the middle of the offseason he will tell us that he is working out everyday and will remain in Chicago instead of going to the summer league. I think in the end of the summer Q will tell us that he's been in touch with Eddie and that Eddie is working out regularly and looks great. I think shortly after Eddie will tell us he's in the greatest shape of his life.

Then camp will come about and Eddie will show up as fat and out of shape as ever.
I just hope that people will like me

He needs to retire.

This guy just disgusts me every time I see his face.

He's the icon of failure and poor health.

We will see if he plays. I highly doubt anything Curry does or will do.

I hate to say this, but he's the Rhoidbury back page fodder fill-in until we actually have a team to watch.

Not to beat the dead, useless horse, but what's the guy's life going to produce next? A ponzi scheme? Selling spent nuclear fuel to North Korea? A video appearance with Bin Laden? Weight Watcher's new spokesperson? BK commericial of the year--> Cue FastFeddy: Just how many quadstackers can you eat?

Somebody has to do a mock commercial using the sound from the BK mini-burgers ads and video of Jerome James and Eddy Curry.

Eddy: "Ooooooooh! Look at those little burgers! Don't you just wanna squeeze em?"
Jerome: "Squeeze away"
Eddy: (giggles)
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Take a look at this:

LINK
It appears that the relationship between Mike D’Antoni and Eddy Curry may be unrepairable.

“…(Eddy) Curry’s relationship with D’Antoni appears to be one based mostly on mistrust. Tuesday, Curry disputed (Mike) D’Antoni’s claim that the veteran center is likely unavailable for the final five games. Curry, sidelined with a sore knee, would not rule himself out for the final week of the season. “I didn’t know he said (I wouldn’t play),” Curry said. “I’m seeing how it is every day. The swelling is going down.”

The D’Antoni-Curry relationship began to deteriorate in training camp when Curry missed the first week with a stomach virus. Although Curry did play in the preseason, he was benched in the season-opening loss to Miami while rookie Danilo Gallinari, who had been out since July, did play. Curry was upset about the benching and was fuming a few months later when D’Antoni publicly criticized him for being overweight.

The Knicks have grown increasingly frustrated with Curry’s work habits. According to a source, Curry met with D’Antoni last month and promised to begin working out regularly, but on numerous occasions, Curry failed to participate in pregame workouts. Although Curry has told friends he would welcome a trade, Tuesday he pledged his loyalty to the Knicks.

“I’m concerned with getting healthy and being ready to go next season,” he said. “Hopefully it is with the Knicks, but if it’s not, I’ll be ready to go with somebody else…”

We know that the relationship was on the rocks when Curry was asked to come into shape and he came in at 343 lbs. But the thing for D’Antoni is that it would seem the only way the team can trade Curry is if he plays, so Walsh will want him out there. But “the coach coach’s” according to the GM.

I can’t think of another player in the world that fits D’Antoni’s system like a square peg in a round hole like Curry does.

What's funny to me is that Curry thinks he can play. Dude is out of shape, prob doesn't know the offense, has a swollen knee, skips practice... and doesn't have the wherewithal to know that he won't make it back to the court in a week.

GM challenge: Is there a contract in the NBA, even at just two years remaining that would be worse than Curry's to the point where you'd want to trade said contract for Curry?

Are Baron and Brand's deals such handcuffs that you'd want to take on Curry? Is Arenas so much of an injury risk that you'd move him?

Can't think of too many others.
