Mine is Hubert Davis, I liked him better than Starks even. He had the best range ever, soooo good at 3s and Free throws.
My other favorites are Walt Clyde, and Oak

LOL when I saw that name I wondered if the "h" stood for Hubert.

My faves are Ewing, Starks, Oak, LJ, Spree, Clyde, Reed and Bernard King.

All were HARDCORE players in their own right. Those cats repped NY Knicks ball to the fullest IMO. Damn, we don't have anybody like that now.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

No one was better than ewing. He's one of the few men I'm not related to that if I saw him in the street, I'd give him a big, genuine hug. He brought me so much joy throughout my youth, I feel like I owe him.

I remember once when I referred to him as Pubert Davis. You are kidding about the most favorite thing, right?

John Starks!!! Definately!!!
The matchup against Vernon Maxwell in the 94 Finals was really one of the best ive ever seen. Those were great games!!!
And he made so many matchups legendary ones!!! (Reggie, MJ...)

Take a guess who I'll pick.

I love the way he made the net dance on his little turnaround. Will never forget the game he scored 60 ... 40 in the first 1/2. Just unstoppable. I remember when he, and pretty much he alone, took the great but hated Celts to 7 games. And Larry Legend said he couldn't give Bernard respect because he looked like he was working TOO HARD! And then he came back from his injury and was still a 20 ppg scorer. Awesome athlete, great heart.

Patrick's a close 2nd on my list because he had so much class and was a great warrior who also played his heart out.

btw, HDavis ... is Trent Tucker your number 2? Pretty much the same player.

For me, it's #10 Clyde Frazier, Willis Reed(the captain) H20, Grandmama=LJ,(4 pt play vs Indiana, who can forget that one.) Oakman(Charles O) and the X-man(Xavier Mcdaniel)especially when he shut down Pippen and put fear in his heart during the playoffs.

Ewing to me is the Knicks, but I started watching in 90 when I was 10.

I gotta put Spree up there too, he was the man in NY and nobody else on this team has his spirit.

Camby - he was the same type of player...too bad he isnt durable because I love his game and his heart.

LJ, Starks, Oak, H20 etc are all on my list too but those 3 to me gave me some great memories.

here is my list of favorites:

1.) ewing- the big guy was money. say what you want, he was our last superstar. he dominated games and on most nights was the best player on the floor period. injustice to the world that he did not get a ring.

2.) houston- believe it or not, i was a houston fan when he was on detroit. he was silky smooth and so talented. even though he is 32, he is still our best player and gives his all. he earned my respect in the playoffs where he played hurt but never gave up.

3.) starks- pure fire and energy. starks was the posterboy of the knicks philosophy in the 90's. when he was on fire, he was the main attraction. could not miss and he let his defender know about it. but when he was not hot, we all know about it. he probably made the best dunk in new york knicks history on may 25, 1993 when he dunked over jordan and grant in the eastern conference finals. too bad jordan was teed off and swept us.

4.) mark jackson ( first tenure)- when we drafted jackson, he was supposed to be the point guard of the future. then 4 years later we traded him. precision passing and incredible floor vision, lakers had showtime, we had broadway thanks to jackson. so what he can't guard a can of paint. he was an ultimate team leader who can get his team going. i believe him when he said that if he stayed with the knicks we would have won championships.

5.)sprewell- another player i liked prior to his stint in new york. he was relentless in his energy and play on the court. his skills are eroding now but when he first came to new york he was awesome. i remembered the fast break dunk in philly then he made a scowl towards the fans.

My favorite of all time was (The Big L) Larry Johnson, THEN SECOND WAS JOHN STARKS.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
