thats amazing - tower goes, "heading to teterborough - pilot goes, "negative, were gonna land in the hudson"

he sounded like he was on the couch reading a book he was so calm. refreshing to know these types of folks are the ones flying us around...

great stuff, that pilot was cool as hell and landed that plane on water just as good as on land... wow!!!!!!!!!!!

it's a wonder that modern day jetliners don't have something to combat bird strikes like this into the engine... that type of stuff must happen pretty often... still tho, this pilot was so damn cool under pressure... i wonder what it must've been like in the cabin... were the passengers even aware that they were going into the drink?
