I think I agree for the most part, however:

I think I see Monroe as more of a PF than a Center.
I would replace Brackins with Monroe

Let Aldrich take Monroe's spot.

Havnt seen much of Maynor, but I dont know who I'd put in there to replace him.

He is a center, he is 18 years old and 245-250 he is going to be filling out and he probably fills out to 260-270. I just don't see him as a pf. His moves say he is a center I think he can be an advantage in a MDA system he can probably play both C and PF, eventually I see moving to the center position. He can get up and down and he has a handle for a big man. I can see him being a great player in the NBA. I would take him over Aldrich.

I like this kid for the Knicks. I think he can be the center of the future. I would like the to see where the Knicks draft but if they draft 9th overall and this kid is there I want him on the Knicks. I won't look back after that. I know this kid will be good in the NBA.

this is a good way of organizing this - I'd probably replace Teague with Williams and Aldrich is probably staying which would slide Jordan in at 3rd center spot

I just hope the basketball Gods will look down upon us and if we cant get the 1st pick[but certainly I will take it] that we land pick 2 or 3. I think we can change fortunes in the high lottery--I do think we can get a guy who will really help change this franchise.

Also- getting a top three pick helps minimize the chance Walsh screws up again.

I wouldn't want the #1 pick, #2 would be good though.

I can't imagine Griffin playing on our team and I honestly think he'll struggle offensively in the league. Kenyon Martin had an outside shot, but this guy doesn't really. He's going to have to develop quite a bit to be a star, and at the #1 slot you want a star.

Having our pick between Rubio/Evans/Hill/Thabeet at the #2 spot would be great though.

What would Karl Malone, Kenyon Martin, Beasley, or Oakley be if they couldn't shoot from at least some distance?

To me, he'll end up being a fast, fit Milsap, which is a nice player. He'd be wasted on the Knicks. He'd be great for the Wizards who need a glue guy to make all of their pieces work.

If we somehow won the lottery and picked him, I think he'd play center for us. Maybe he'd help, but I would think that the other four players I mentioned would make a bigger impact on our team. (Evans/Rubio/Thabeet/Hill)

haven't played CLOSE attention to the older Phoenix teams with MDA, but didn't Amare enter the leauge without an outside shot and do well in the offense? Took him a year of 2 to add the jumper but it did show up eventually. Same with Malone.

i don't quite understand the notion that MDA likes centers who play like SFs on the perimeter. I do think that his offense is more geared towards skilled players, ala the Sacramento Kings with Brad Miller, Webber, Peja, etc. He definitely would not want a plotter like Curry.

I mean, PHO never had a center, nor could they ever find a backup PG, but I don't think MDA hated them.

BTW, by strict definition, David Lee doesn't really have a good enough outside shot for MDAs system, but he seems to be doing OK on the offensive end of things while playing center.

That is why Monroe makes a lot of sense. He is a versatile big man. He has skills of a c/pf/sf and has the body to get the job done. He is ideal player in the MDA system he has excellent passing skills for a big man has a full repertoire of post moves. Just look at the players he is compared to Webber/Gasol, these are decent passing big men that can also score and provide good shot blocking capabilities.

I wouldn't say that MDA wants to have five guys launching treys.

Having one guy who can't shoot at all on the floor strains the plan of the offense.

Having two guys who are marginal shooters also strains the offense.

Having Balkman, Lee and Jeffries on the floor at the same time probably would have made Mike's head spin. I bet that's why Balkman was shipped out.

That's why I would say that if we were to select Griffin, the other four players on the floor would have to be able to at least be able to space the floor to make the offense work.

but if griffin is the beast and the sure-fire all-star that many say he is, don't you grab him if at all possible and worry later about finding the guys to compliment him?

Yes. Don't know why you wouldn't select him just cause we now have Q, JJ, Lee on the team.
