Evans is better now, I think we can all agree.

Who projects better in the NBA & why?

Would you consider Evans a 2 in the NBA despite moonlighting as a 1 this past year?

On another forum I put my top 5

1. B Griffin
2a Evans
2b Derozan
3 Hill
4 Thabeet

and to a tee everyone thought I was nuts. They said Evans and Derozan were NOT lottery picks. I would say that Im dead on or very close to it.

Who said what now?

Derozan and Evans have been lottery picks since January, and since they're freshman, that's pretty much all that matters.

I'll bet money that Derozan is not drafted third though. That's way too high for a player that's only shown serious potential in a handful of games.

Rubio will be top 3.

How good of an athlete is Evans? Down from Derozan (who is along the lines of Iguoudala), right? How much more polished is Evans (who last night looked tremendous)?

I have to go with Evans right now but I wouldn't mind Derozan or Turner either. Evans because he can play pg and that would lessen mismatches if the Knicks were to keep Nate and throw him into the lineup.

They're both crazy athletes. Evans isn't as much of a high flyer. He uses his size more but can get up when he wants to. Nobody gets in front of the guy.

Derozan is more like Gerald Green as far as his build and hops. Hopefully he can become a polished player. He's already shown signs that he can.

I think your worry with Derozan will be able to get his own shot. I saw him just waiting to be set up a lot. If you want to make him a 2, then he has to be able to take over games by himself.

With Evans, you want him to be a point to really give you an advantage. He looks like he can do it, but you can see at times that he's not very practiced at it. He's just going on ability for now.

I would be happy with either or them, and I think Knicks fans in general would be thrilled to get either one of them.

Evans is the more complete player at this point, and probably guaranteed himself a top 5 slot after yesterday's loss to Missouri. I don't think that DeRozan has really had a chance to show all his stuff at this point, which may be good for us, but he has the athleticism that will probably turn heads at the combines and when he works out with individual teams, so I have to wonder if he will be available when we pick.

I think that MDA really wants his PG of the future, so if they think Evans can play PG at the NBA level they will take him if he is there. He may not be the explosive athlete that DeRozan is, but he can handle the ball, and a couple of those spins to the basket yesterday reminded me a bit of James.

I'm a big fan of Evan Turner,(I don't think he is coming out this year after a disappointing loss to end his season.)but I expect that either of these guys will make me forget them.

I think Mike will want an ultimate distributor, heady type, or at least someone who has that potential.

Tyreke could be that, but he comes in a different package than you would expect that type of guard to come in.

If I had to bet who MikeD has at the top of his board, I would say Rubio. He's a crazy passer and a pesky defender.

I don't like Evans at all. I view him as Larry Hughes pt.2. Don't really think he has good shot selection and don't think he's disciplined enough.

DeRozan is only now coming into his own. I think he may end up being a Gerald Wallace type. I'd take DeRozan right now because I think he has the athleticism to contribute on day 1 but is becoming a much better player as time goes on.

I'm just growing irritated at the fact that we are so in love with these unproven kids, while we have really good players on our team that we constantly want to chastise and dismiss.

You guys remind me of spoiled children that whine for a toy, and then once you get it you want something completely different after a week.

The realistic draft pick I want is Eric Maynor, and I'd be okay rolling the dice on BJ Mullens... Earl Clark is starting to look real appealing too. Griffin/Rubio (if available)/Hill/DeRozan would all be welcomed.

Apparently you're not familiar with what a winning basketball team looks like then.

eh, you're going to have to give me more than that. Anyway, I think you guys are misunderstanding my point on purpose. All good, tho.

Supreme, are you worried about Maynor's shot at all? I don't get to see him play that often, but it looks flat to me. Think he can work that out? Everything else about this kid looks great.
