This is good news for the depth of the 2009 Draft.

Larry Sanders, the guy who makes Gumby look like he has alligator arms (6'9" tall, 7'7" wingspan), has been leaning towards staying in school. He is a raw talent, so it would be an understandable move. However, their young coach has been given permission to speak to 'Bama about their coaching vacancy.

If he leaves, its not like another great coach is walking through that door at VCU.

I would think that Sanders would then leave.

If we can get a pick in the 20's, I think this guy could fit the offense and make a huge impact for the Knicks even in short stints off of the bench.

On offense, I can see him making high picks and throwing down lobs from Willie Warren or whoever is at PG for us. Kid can dunk from waaay out with ease and runs like a small forward.

On defense, the guy completely shut down George Mason's inside game all by himself. Guys didn't want to go near him. He can take shots out of the air a la Dwight Howard.

To me, he would be a low risk for where he'll go in the draft, and he's exactly what we need in that he will be able to run with our offense, and we know that he can play defense. His shot is getting better too.

He's like getting a second chance at McGee with maybe even more upside on defense.

Go get him Donnie.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Option1
Duhon/Nate?
Derozan - 6'7"
Wilson Chandler - 6'8"
the Rooster - 6'10"
Larry Sanders - 6'9" (7'7" wingspan)

That would be some serious length and athleticism to throw out there and you'd have shooters from different places on the floor.

Or you could go with

Option 2
Duhon/Nate?
Chandler - needs to get more aggressive, but potential is sky high
The Rooster - can live on the wings
Brackins - super offensive player, a fit version of Zach, needs to learn defense
Sanders - doesn't need the ball, covers for Rooster/Brackins with help defense

Whoever get AG will be a powerhouse in the next five years. Sanders played one year of high school and he needs a lot of seasoning before he is ready for the pros.

If you were Grant, would you go to 'Bama? There's got to be better gigs out there than that.

Oregon would be a better landing spot than Bama.

He is from Miami and will stay on the east coast. I cant think of 1.5 million reasons to go to Bama and you dont have any pressure Saban has that

you think Bama's a good landing spot eh?

Shouldn't get into this, but if I had a darker complexion, I wouldn't want to go from Richmond, VA to Alabama.
