Its a huge "if", but if he enters the draft, the Knicks should do everything they can to obtain Ricky Rubio. At the same time, he has more potential and less risk than almost any other player in this year's draft class.

Its just a matter of how we would acquire him without a top 3 pick.....

I doubt we could get the #2 pick even if we traded Lee, Nate and Chandler
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I'm with the idea of drafting Rubio. Whatever it takes we should be after him. He's the only player in the draft that fits a need.

I agree Rubio would just fit the NYK system. We should be so lucky to have a chance to draft Rubio. Luck isn't part of NYK's fortunes.

That's a pretty strong statement for the third worst team in the East. Don't we have a whole lot of needs? I'm pretty sure that we could assemble a team out of the non-lottery prospects that could beat the Knicks on a regular basis.

Ricky is a player how really can make the difference!!! I posted some vids of him some month ago!!! At the same time ... we simply have NO shot at him!!! Hes gonna flourish on another team!!! Its a fact, that we will NOT get lucky during the lottery... I mean we are the Knicks right?!? ;-)
Still looking forward to see the kid in the NBA next year!!!
Hope he declares!

John Wallace...who else fits a need?
Thabeet maybe but it's obvious a PG is the most important need right now and Rubio is the best PG in the draft by far. He's young and he's 6 foot 4 AND STILL GROWING!!!

we need a C, SG & a PG... Hughes can hold down the fort for another year at SG if it really comes down to it, but he's gonna be gone after next season so we should be looking to fill that role w/a draft pick if a good one is available where we pick like Derozan... we should also be looking to address the frontcourt, in particular someone who can block shots & bring it on the defensive end, because Lee is a negative value in that aspect... i would personally look to fill those 2 positions first before worrying about the PG slot, unless of course a stud prospect like Rubio or Jennings somehow falls into our laps.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Who doesn't fit a need? We have a flex 2/3 and a flex 3/4 player that will be here in the future. (Chandler/Gallo)

I would say that we should be looking for two way players that can run, which leads you to;

Derozan, Holiday, Evans, Maynor

- but I wouldn't be shocked if we go with an offensive player that is supposed to be special like;

Jennings, Brackins, Teague, i don't like Curry but it could happen (please don't pick Buddinger)

That doesn't leave many out. The only guys I would be surprised that we would pick are the small forwards, and the plodders like Monroe, Aldrich.
