If you want to be cynical about it, you could say that he is making his choice because there are a lot of decent PGs entering the draft this year.

he looks like the smartest player in the tourney - he's capable of playing himself into the top half of the draft with a big run in the next couple of games

He shot it better from deep last year. Its strange that he seems to have lost that.
