lol! well, i doubt if the republican party will seriously consider palin as their viable candidate. they need a homerun hitter for that especially if the economy turns around in a year or two. obama is poised to be in office again unless he fouls up big time. think reagan vs. mondale in 84.

There's no way Palin makes it. She made an embarrassment of the republican party during the McCain campaign and most of the conservatives know it. She's not that good and the only reason she was chosen was b/c she was a woman who supports the war.

If she's nominated it's purely b/c of her celebrity image and that's it, and that would be sad. She's not going to make it and she'll probably be burried in the primaries.

The wingnuts are convinced their future lies in moose-blood, drenched hands of Sarah Palin. I love it.

Republicans had it all about four years ago...lol. Barring a complete disaster, Obama is getting re-elected. Book it now.

the statement has more to do with Republicans than Obama.

Republicans have turned to Rush Limbaugh for leadership, have dug in their heels and played partisan politics with Obama at a crucial time for our country, and their mouthpieces like Glenn Beck have taken to appealing to the fringe, militia wing of their ideology.

Republicans are in COMPLETE disarray. Their savior Bobby Jindal bodied himself a few weeks ago. They have nothing right now, and that is not changing anytime soon.

Republicans need to revamp their party, but they are going in the opposite direction.

Republicans should worry about getting their party in shape before they start worrying about 2012.

They're a total mess right now with the fearmongering conservatives controlling the party.
It's impossible for anybody to make the necessary changes to make that party relevant because the base and their talking heads will never allow it to happen. They actually believe that all they need to do is put a new face on the party and the problems are fixed. Hence, Bobby Jindal and Michael Steele being put in the forefront, of course that was before Jindal turned into Kenneth the Page and Steele admitted that he was pro-choice.

As for Palin, she became irrelevant the second she walked off the stage after McCain's concession speech. The only place you'll find her is on FoxNews, especially on Greta Van Susteran's show since her husband is one of Palin's closest advisor's. Fixed news indeed.

I get that and I completely agree.

My only point was that Obama's only been in office for 2 months, and regardless of what's happening now, a lot can change in 4 years. If Obama ends up dropping the ball on some of the major issues this term, people may begin to look at a Romney figure to deal with the economy, as Supreme brought up, although I am definitely not suggesting that will happen.

We have bigger things to worry about right now than 2012. I have faith in Obama, but it's time to watch out for the here and now and hope we all come out in one piece.

4 years ago Obama was a long shot dream and palin was mayer of a little town.

Lots can happen in the next four years.

Palin is irrelevant and will be on TV. She is a real dud! She won't even run for relecton cuz she couldn't even win her own state now.

Did we really need a poll to tell us this?

Palin was a flash in the pan, a novelty. We have seen it all before, it happens a lot during elections. Someone new to the scene gains a lot of popularity with a select group of people, loses the election, then fades into oblivion - where she should stay.
