Just remember, Milwaukee owns the tie breaker. We HAVE to finish ahead of them. So if they say we are 1 game back behind them, we are really 2 out.

It wont be easy at all.

Noo Nooo, I am not there and I don't see that in the forseeable future with work and class.

Charlotte and Chicago are going to be our competition.

Let's get past the Orlando home and home before we start to torture ourselves with this.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I thought we were going to have a discussion of the big difference in draft position between just outside lotto vs. potentially have a 1% chance of landing a top three.

WE CAN DO IT!!! Its a tough road, and I agree lets see what happens against Orlando. One win against them would be money.

Hahah, ya, the people wanting us to tank dont realize that there's no way we're getting a top 7 pick even if we DO tank.

Just play to win the game. Simple as that.

This stretch run will for learning something about Lee, Nate and Chandler, especially the first two. God forbid we could get Eddy Curry token minutes somehow and convince so douche of a GM that the guy can play basketball. Maybe they are holding him out for the insurance check.... who knows.

Knicks need to win some games. The games they lose they should lose like they did against Cle. They played well and got beat because the Cavs are more talented and thats it. We still have a lot to see and learn about these players.

According to Isiah that would make it 5 in a row.

With Isiah we made five huge circles. Walsh stepped in and turned it into a straight line. Thank GOD. That line will start to look pretty good once it pushes into 2010 and beyond.

Meanwhile: PLAYOFFS!? Well, that's been over since we decided to lose six consecutive games for the second time this season. You're looking at us going 10-5 with every other team 8-14 going 6-9. That's just not happening.

Just in case anyone was wondering how unlikely it is....here's the miracle scenario.

Knickss - 28-39 - 10-5 - 38-44
Chicago - 32-37 - 5-8 - 37-45
Milwauk - 31-39 - 6-6 - 37-45
Charlot - 30-38 - 7-7 - 37-45
NJ Nets - 29-39 - 8-6 - 37-45
Indiana - 28-41 - 9-4 - 37-45

I chose 38 wins because it's been a commonly floated around idea. I also chose it because no way you expect any more than 10 more wins from this team even if you're the most optimistic fan there is. Chances are we go 5-10 and get that coveted 33-49 record.

Basketball Reference said that last month we had an 8.9% chance of making it. Today: 1.7%

... and a 1.3% chance at winning the lottery.

this is why we need to hold onto all our players & lock them up longterm... can't mess with the type of proven success & consistency we've had over the past decade.
