Yeah.. I don't know if it's a good idea to have an instant replay review to check (or something like that) but I agree that retroactive techs or fines should be given to stop this. I have no problem if there is a actual foul and a player just sells it a bit, but to just fall at the sight of contact ruins the game

They need to retroactively assess technical fouls for flopping. Have officials watch every game, determine if there are any flops, and start leveling fines on the culprits. The flop techs should counts as regular techs and eventually you get suspended when you exceed the limit. I cannot think of a better way to address the problem.

Good idea. Something along those lines is worth a try.

Shaq's flop on Dwight is the most digusting and insulting to anyone with any understanding of physics.

What I want to know is how the hell the refs fall for this crap all the time. It really does make the game look bad, even if Patrick Ewing did it and Nate Robinson does it. It's so obvious even to the naked eye.

Look at it this way, 95% of the time, with the size and strength of these guys, something as simple as man to man defense or low post defense is NOT going result in you falling down if you didn't flop. If there was a huge collision with one guy standing still and the charging playing going full speed, or even a head on collision, sure. If a much bigger guy ran into a much smaller guy, sure. But when someone just gets a tiny bump and falls to the ground? Come on.

Don't be so freaking stupid. It's as if they are WWE refs when they are calling charges ad whatnot.
