He is still very young-maybe physically younger than his years. I don't know how well he will be defensively once he reaches maturity but he has the size and long range game. Thoughts?

i don't think he's a viable C option on a winning team unless u have a defensive monster down low who can block shots, rebound & score in the low post at the same time at the PF position, which D Lee clearly is not.

yeah, yeah i know Utah has 2 weak defensive frontcourt players, but they also have 1 of the best NBA defensive players on the bench in AK47 who can guard every position on the floor & block shots as well... theirs is a unique situation.

i think Gallo is best suited in a Hedo Turkoglu type role.

I see him as a 4 in that Dirk/Sheed mold... upside of 18-22 and 8-10 with good percentages, downside an improved Matt Bonner

i wish i could 'see' the future like you guys see it for the duck...err.....rooster. i'd play the lottery everyday. i think marv said it - 3/4 type player, average at best in this league.

btw - with the way his eyes move, i would be scared to drive with him....

LeBron (an I am not saying he is LeBron or anything close) was a good sized shooting guard and now has the size and strength to play PF. I don't know what Gallo will grow into but he clearly has the height and with added muscle may be strong enough to mix it up. We have seen him against smaller quicker player and thicker stronger ones thus far but he will be bigger and stronger -how much none of us knows. I used to be able to over power my son but he now bench presses 425. Its fairly certain Gallo will never be able to stay with a quick SF but who knows about 4 or 5.

anyone think Gallo's back can support an additional 30 pounds of anything?

At best, Gallo might be able to play the 4.

But much like Lee, he will give up a lot.

And I have yet to see Gallo actually rebound?

As long as we had Dwight Howard at small forward, then that would work great.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Gallo will never be a center in this league.

I really want us to get a defensive minded center, so that Gallo can be our Dirk.

Also, isn't it kind of alarming that Gallo CANNOT jump? At all...

Gallo can jump, but he chooses not to. Next season he will jump like a kangaroo.

But he can't be a center, that is silly-crazy. His game is too sophisticated for a position like center. He will serve us much better as a very tall 3 or 4.

First, Gallo needs to get the back healed and adding 30 pounds is not going to help with that effort unless it is back muscle he is building.

Second, Gallo probably would need to grow another inch or two, which is possible, and work on his lateral quickness. I seriously doubt that he can be a center in this league. While he is not soft, he game is more of a finesse game and I have a feeling he is going to spend much of his career on the perimeter. He is going to be more like a Dirk - PF/SF.
