When a player can get his shot off on anyone and anytime do it consistently within the frame work of the team, then that player is a superstar. Nate's recent play has been of superstar caliber. You can see that he is putting fear in the eyes of opponents specifically late in games. The fact that he gets quality shots off and ability to get to his spots and create room, and at the same time have the ability to pass the ball is all superstar stuff. I don't think the Knicks can allow Nate to go, he is to good. Nate fits this system like a glove.

I never thought Nate could be this good. I thought of him as clown, not serious player, to a circus act but he has changed my mind. He is the closest thing the Knicks have to a superstar if he isn't already.

I think Nate is good and can put up numbers... and once he plays both ends I will like him that much more.

when he can hit the pull up midrange jumper when he's driving the lane and run a successful offense at PG then he will be a superstar and a perennial all-star.

I think you have to look to move Duhon for a draft pick and let Nate run this team.

yeah, not quite yet, but he's showing us that he might be the closest thing we have had to developing one.

in terms of being able to get his own shot off and get to the basket, he is easily the best we have, and does it very well. sometimes he forces it though, or takes a bad shot that seems not superstar like and more out of sync.

he hasn't done that as much but he did do it at one point last night where he ran down and chucked a quick, ill advised three, and another time where he forced going to the basket and got called for a charge.

regardless, i really like nate and want to see him continue to succeed.

it will be interesting how re-signing he and lee pans out given their very strong seasons this year.

If Nate can keep others happy then I think he would be ready to take on the team as a pg. But right now I think Duhon helps to keep others happy by sacrificing his stats for the good of the team. Duhon allows the others to do what they do, he even allows Nate to be great. That is why its hard to really be down on Duhon. I think Nate can really benefit from a big PG who is pass first and the entire team can benefit from that too.

I guess we'll just have to give him a max contract then.

Does that mean $10M or $15M?

You guys sarcasm sucks..

I'm gonna make reference to a comment my favorite announcer Mike Breen made last night about Nate.

He said he was talking to I believe a scout or something and the guy was raving about Nate and how good he was. Breen was like when you see a guy everynight you seem to focus on his flaws. He gushed about Sessions to the guy and the guy talked more about his flaws and that suprised Breen, but holds true to the point he was making.

I think you hater's for no reason need to take a step back and really see the talent and actually the freak of nature that Nate Robinson is......the ****ing guy needs to start. His talent level is on par with any guard in the league. He is just as talented if not more talented at least offensively than Deron, Paul or whoever you're sucking off in your imagination....that's a fact of life. Nates main thing is controlling his emotions and controling the game.

Bottom line is the dude needs to be the starting point guard for the Knicks......he needs to be given the spot and D'antoni needs to continue to work with him. They simply can't give up on him. The man is "really, really good" like D'antoni would say.

Btw, anyone catch the head fake he learned from Larry Hughes? He is totally using the same head fake Hughes uses. He's also playing the passing lanes way better since Hughes came in.

Nate and Hughes is a tough back court to face. Hughes is also a great passer and ball handler so he can help greatly. Fuck these bull**** games with Duhon starting and 2010. The future is now!

Blasphemy!

Deron Williams would be getting MVP consideration if it wasn't for his injury. Chris Paul is Isiah in his prime.

What you're saying is that Nate can score as easily as Deron and Paul. True.

That's only a third of their game though.

Deron led his team to 12 straight wins. He knows how, and does set people up for great shots.

Nate might have the ability and know how to set guys up, but he doesn't do it. He looks off Gallo like he's Medusa.

MikeD has increased his value. That's what we wanted. The purpose of that is to trade him at some point. If he's a winning PG, he's got to prove it in the last few games here.

I counted at least 3 times last night where Gallo was WIDE open, and Nate just completely ignored him.

Good at offense - does not just mean you can score the rock

Good at offense means that you get your team into the best situations to score efficiently weather its you taking the shot or someone else.

Nate takes us from a 10 win a year pathetic team to a 30 win a year scrappy team. Can he take us to a 40, 50, 60 win team? He would have to have an epiphany on how to use his talent and we'd have to have the perfect complimentary players around him.

agree 100%. He wasnt a PG in college either and is getting better at setting up guys.

Billups is a converted SG and is one of the best PGs in the league. It took him 3-4 years as well to get to that point.

Nate has shown so much improvement, and not just this year, over that span. The things you want to see from him are getting better: more control, more assists, more defense on the ball.

I hope he stays

I don't think Nate needs to be the starting PG. I think that would change his game and he wouldn't be as successful as he is right now. As a starting PG you need to distribute the ball and run the offense. Right now he is a scorer. He's playing 30+ minutes a night and scoring 30 a game. Why would you switch his role at this point?
I just hope that people will like me

We waited so long for Marbury and then Crawford to figure out how to run an offense. Now we're going to do it again?

We really have to trade the kid, he's my favorite player, but we have to trade him and take Jennings, Rubio, Maynor, or worst case, Teague for our PGotF and use picks we hopefully get from Nate and Lee to rebuild in a way that fits MikeD's system.

Maynor - Hughes - Chandler - Al - Jordan

bench: Gallo - Lawson - Sanders - Duhon - Jeffries

If we got two modest picks back for Lee and Nate, we could end up with this next year.
