I think last night was a wake up call. This player will not get wide open 3's like he has seen when he is scouted better--guys are going to get up on him and force him to take shots like last night instead of having his legs under him. I need to see many more games from Gallinari--I know he has a great shot great size and good instincts but there are a lot of worries and unknowns with this player. He has a lot to prove.

who's annointing him? Just seems like people are encouraged by his increased minutes and better play as of late. He's a rookie, consistency is not going to be his thing. The praise concerning Gallo has been reasonable for the most part.

I think some people, who have an agenda about always being right, are chomping at the bit to cut him down at the first sign of a bad game. Just my theory.

Nothing new here. I already seen other fans perspective that the way to guard him is a man tight in his face and play aggressive defense. The Bucks weren't that concern with coverage on him last night, they were more concern about protecting the lane against penetrators. He needs a go to the basket move quickly. He also needs to start setting up within the 3 point line. He isn't being coached up right now, IMHO. I guess there is always SL.

Well Gallo has showed he will defer to the more established guys. He's not trying to do too much and he seems to turn it on when he gets the opportunity.

last night imho...he still played a good game...he couldnt make a bucket but he is just a bench player right now, a rookie trying to fit in. He's looking for his teamates and trying to build that chemistry. He didn't really make any mistakes and he is just really poised. His defense if fine as well.

No need to throw the kid under the bus just yet...when its time, if he ever shows any Duhon, Jared, or Q signs I will be on him...right now I'm satified with his play.

no. Some rookies there are absolutely no worries. You just thank God, that your team was lucky enough to draft them.

I think a good defender would keep Gallinari from actually receiving the ball one on one. The one thing that really helps Gallinari is his size. He looks like the tallest player on the team and his arms are long so if they play a 6-5 guy on him--he will have the mis-match. If they go for a 6-8 athletic defender with strength and speed--that will cause him problems as of now.
Like you said he needs to bring his game in from 30 feet out as well.

the thing is, on two of his shots, he was clearly fouled.. even breen complained about it, and you know that guy acts as if he hates complaining about the refs...

I agree he was certainly whacked twice without a call. And on the defensive end he was run over at least twice getting a call on him once and a non-call a second time. He got hosed. I hate the whole "rookie" or "road team" reffing BS. We saw it on display big time last night. It's lame I'm tired of it.

You did not use the exact word but your paragraph certainly suggests as much.

They'll start setting picks for him, plus the offense dictates that he'll be wide open on the break quite a bit.

He's got to work on his defense, getting back specifically more than anything.

I'm sure people got up in his grill in Euroleague too.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Sure it does. It's opportunistic on the eve after he had an 0-5 game. That's after putting up 17 and 15 points on terrific shooting. It's a thread aimed at trashing Gallo and anyone who bothered to speak well of his good outings.

What did you get out of it? Constructive criticism? I sure didn't. Briggs would probably trade him for Deandre Jordan.

That's what I got out of it constructive criticism how to maximize his abilities. I think it is mistake what D'Antoni is doing trying to put this guy in a 3 point specialist role right now for the sake of the playoffs. He needs to work on getting stronger no matter what his people say. I am encourage by him staying stateside away from his group that he will asked to work on his in regards of what he needs to do for the NBA. I want to see a lot more from Gallinari, particularly in the paint where he could use his quickness. Not all criticism are attacks.

Is Gallo's extremely poor handle the result of his bad back, or simply an inability to dribble?

Dude don't put words in my mouth. You are taking my post way out of context. I wouldn't chump on Jordan either--so far he's done more than Gallo.
