Huge Uconn fan here, casual St Johns fan

What a crazy start to this tourney...after going winless in the Big East all year, Depaul ruins Cincy's big dance bid last night...and now they're beating Providence! These guys are "spoilers" in the truest sense of the word. They might prevent 2 teams from joining the big dance.

Gotta give a shout out to a nice win by the Johnnies last night against Gtown...let's see what they have against Marquette.

Providence decides that they want to go to the NCAA tourney after all. Strong finish by them.

Marquette should take care of St Johns now...but we'll see, the red storm are a feisty crew.

DePaul/Providence was a great game.

I was hoping Providence would lose so Marv would suffer

I'm rooting hard for the Johnies and Seton Hall but it will be in vein.

I love Pitt right now....they have a bully inside in Blair that I love...one of the best wing guys in the country in sam young...a dope point guard from brooklyn in Fields....they are kinda small but they been getting at teams.

I have always and I will always hate Pitt. I just ****ing hate the **** out of that program.

ditto - they absolutely man handled uconn (i think twice) this year.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I've never seen St. John's campus. Is it terrible? Is that why nobody wants to go there? Seton Hall and Rutgers awful too or what?

I don't get why players won't go there. If a major recruit actually played decent at one of those schools they would get on the back pages, they would be completely overhyped and you'd think would benefit as far as draft status.

Syracuse and UConn are the city's adopted teams. I'm a huge 'cuse fan, so I'm fine with that, but it seems like a pretty sad situation. I believe Norm is doing as well as he can over there. It seems more structural.

St. Johns would have been much better if Anthony Mason Jr and their point guard didnt get injured for the season. Mason Jr. looked like he was going to be a stud this year.

St. Johns campus is definately kinda wack. I went there a few times and it definately terrible compared to the rest of the big named/storied schools. I don't think they have a real dormitory thats why. They need to do something about that.


Still you are definately right about the exposure....I mean damn, your home team is MSG!!! I would play their just for that. The last time they were good is when they had Artest, Bootsy(where the hell is this cat?), Erick Barkley, Postel, and others...that was a good team.

St. Johns will improve.. supposedly they are getting Lance Stephenson who is a top recruit coming out of Brooklyn.

Man Eny.. I've seriously hated some players that played there. Guys like Carl Krauser, Chevon Trautman.. I just seriously hated those mofo's lol.

I heard that too...getting Stevenson is like getting Artest, and Felipe Lopez as far as the hype and talent. I'm rooting for Lance to make it. He's a tough player. Game reminds me of Mitch Richmond....hope he keeps getting better and stays focused on perfecting his game. Alot of NYC guys thing they are already soo much better than the rest and don't need to practice.
