Maynor looks like he's got some upper level handle, that's for sure. Good size. Not shooting it great since the opening minutes, but he's got his team up 20 against George Mason. He's thrown some great passes. Very fast. GMU just looks overmatched though.

This guy Larry Sanders for VCU has crazy long arms. He looks like a cartoon character. Has 5 blocks with 10+ minutes left.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Woah... Maynor just made two crazy moves on one possession.

Left a pressing defender in the dust at half court with a behind the back move, and then split a double team at the 3 point line and went to the rack for a lay in.

Sanders is up to 19 rebounds and 8 blocks... Can we draft them both?

Anybody watching this? These two are crazy impressive.

Maybe George Mason is just that bad.

I tell you what, I liked watching "the Larry Sanders Show" even better.

I'm watching Mills right now. I know he's still injured, but he looks like a glorified Gerry McNamara. Great on the college level, not made for the NBA.

If you limit it to "pure point guards" as opposed to guys like Warren and Evans who I think are awesome in the true sense of the word... then Maynor... well he looks better than Teague against weak competition, so that would put him in top three pure points with the two Euros, Jennings and Rubio.

I bet that MikeD won't approve drafting a combo guard.

Maynor's only defect is that he looks streaky, but Jennings is like that too from the Euro games I've watched and he should get better as a shooter once he's in the league.

This Daye kid looks good too. Reminds me of maybe a Turkoglu type. Nice composed game. I saw him earlier in the year and wasn't impressed.

18pts 20reb and 7 blocks for Larry Sanders - Kid has a 7'7" wingspan... a 7'7" wingspan!

Dude can't shoot, but he's a smooth athlete.

Closest thing I've seen to getting another chance at McGee. He stopped GMU's frontcourt from scoring all by himself.

Probably won't come out though.

I think Mills will stay in school. Maynor is the deal. He is definitely a real PG- the only real question is his consistency vs. a high level of comp, but he seems to rise in the big games. I think he's gonna be real good.

You and I have been the only ones who've seen this Des. Absolutely love this kid.

I watched both St. Mary's games over the past two days. I know Mills is coming off an injury, but he talked a big game about how he wants to beat Gonzaga in the tournament. Then basically tried to beat them one on one, Nate Robinson style. He wasn't hitting anything and just kept jacking up shots. Maybe it was just one game, but you can't have a player like that leading your team.

We can't draft Maynor because we already have "The Mayor" and it would be too confusing.

You're telling me that two years ago you started a campaign to draft Eric Maynor in this year's draft?

Fair enough... would have made a tremendous campaign had Maynor declared or made any indication he was going to make the jump to the pros

I haven't seen somebody make ankle breaking moves like that regularly outside of the And1 MixTape Tour.

It was pretty impressive.

He reminds me a little bit of Kevin Martin. Maybe if Martin and Telfair had a love child... it would be Eric Maynor.

If he could make moves like that on the NBA level he would become a sensation overnight.

See, I'm not so sure about the overnight part... but I definitely think he has "three years down the line" potential

Nobody has moves like that in the league. Craw made Sports Center every time he made somebody fall over with a crossover move.

This guy could do that on a regular basis.

^ yeah, but his strength scares me, at least out of the gate. Part of the reason he looks so good now is because he's a senior. He isn't a surefire prospect (in spite of me wanting o draft him). Any other draft and we'd all probably be focussing on his lack of muscle, but because it is a weaker class it's easier to focus on him being a winner.

I don't doubt he'll learn how to effectively use his crossover, but he's also going to have to learn to go strong versus NBA strength. It takes most points two or three years to make a major impact... I think it'll hold true here as well
