If I were in charge of the Knicks -after viewing Nate Robinson put up 30-15-9 from the PG position--I wouldve instructed my coach to play him there for a minimum of 5 more games to see if he could continue that type of extraordinary play. I really have to question why we didn't--why we didnt travel down an avenue with this incredible athlete? Duhon has been shot for the last 10-15 games. Why don't they give Nate a chance to duplicate his play?
Doesn't it make common sense? We have 20 games remaining--are they going to give him a try? What do we lose by trying him in a 5 game stint as the lead PG? The playoff push??

MDA talk about his commitment to get Chandler and Gallinari minutes because they are important parts of this teams future.

Its possible Nate isnt part of this teams future, or they feel he can do that and dont want to inflate his value.

To be fair Nate DOES get a lot of minutes. 30 a game?

I assume 'the plan' will become much more apparent this offseason

I have seen Chandlers minutes decline but not the point[no pun intended] Before we give away Nate for nothing--wouldnt it be wise to see if he can duplicate his play when he was the primary PG? he may play 30 minutes now but his role is a scorer.

I see what you are saying Briggs and I thought the same thing. Nate was on a streak, some might say keep it going but remember Duhon's minutes are catching up with him and he needed a rest. It was the perfect opportunity for Mike to take one for the team and give Duhon a rest. Let's see what Nate can do.

I am really curious what Nate could have developed into (and still can), in particur with his driving. Remember that big game where he was like 15-20 from the foul line (or something like that). I was like, though I hadn't seen the game, "Mike, give Nate the same role next game. Give him every opportunity to do what he did, again. His talent is worthy of that chance."

Nate is a special talent, albeit a bit crazy at times, but let's see what we got. You can even see how the NBA wants to promote him (In reference to the Kryptonite gig and stuff.). He is a fan favorite, management knows they have to keep either him or Lee so it begs the question, let's see what we have Mike.

I can't see Walsh intervening and telling who to play, especially when he didn't intervene during the Marbury situation. I too would like to see Nate at the point more. Duhon has seemed to have hit the wall.

I kind of agree with this, but does Nate have the ability to just switch back and forth between a scoring or dishing mentality? If he showed more of the latter, would he not be given even more minutes by MDA?

I would love to see more of PG Nate, but how exactly do you go about encouraging this side of his game, when he seems to like playing out of control so much?

It seemed to work well when they asked him to do it. Perhaps they should politely go up to Nate and say we want to see your PG skills again over a 5 game period. We want you to play the way you did against the Clippers when Chris was out. Pass first run the club and look for your shot as a secondary option. We want you to be you but as the primary ball handler and distributor. We really believe you can excel there and we want to give you a real shot at it.

If we lose tonight... I think you have to put Nate in the starting line up and ask exactly that.

Totally agree with that statement.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
