So lets say the Bulls want to get more cap? They trade Crawford and Eddie(waste of money)Robinson for Ward and Othella Harrington. I think Harrington gives the Bulls a guy that's gonna work hard giving them a post option off the bench. Ward can be bought out to give the bulls more room to get someone later on.

Why do they keep doing Jamal Crawford so dirty? I'd love to see him in a Knick uniform. He's the athletic, scoring, defending point guard we need.

I posted this exact same trade on another board, I would love to do that but I think it will take a future pick also to lure crawford away because the bulls can get better deals elsewhere for the talented guard...

What up Eny. Tell me this why does Chicago want othella when they have hardworking Lonny Baxter and Marcus Fizer? Chicago doesn't want Othella, a team that needs front court help (might) trade for Othella but not the Bulls. I like Crawfords game, but so does the bulls, but Cartwright just wants him to play the coaches style, not the free wheeling stlye he wants to play.

Regardless of what team we trade with, Layden is not going to be able to get the job done by trading Othella. Doleac is the guy people are interested in, but Layden doesn't want to trade him (maybe it's because he's the one guy Layden isn't overpaying and he's from University of Utah).

I heard Chicago and Toronto were negotiating a trade...

That deal with the Knicks might not happen after all.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Jamal Crawford and Robinson would inject alot of athleticism into this lineup. But... we are not going to get them for cap room. We would need to include a pick. The nice thing would be a future back-court of Crawford and Vujanic (who by all accounts is the best player in Europe right now). With Van Horn, Sweetney, and Lampe... you have some things to work with. The Pick isn't worth it however... we might be looking a top five.

We shouldn't be shy about moving Doleac if it will get us a young, athletic 2 or 3 who can give quality minutes and has the promise of getting better. Doleac's getting some ink for being a little quicker and meaner (that's just a haircut) than in prior years. But he's still basically the same spot up shooting center who, despite being 7', doesn't rebound or help-defend terribly well. Can't imagine his trade value getting higher, so if people want him and will offer someone with more of a future, we should pounce.

Truth be told, the same goes for KT in my view (although he's a better rebounder and defender, he's not getting younger or better).

Sure, I'd rather move an ugly contract or an even worse player than Doleac, but no one seems to want Spoon, Harrington, Anderson or Eisley. That's not news.

I hate to rain on your parade, but Layden deciding that he will entertain offers for Doleac is hardly going to get us younger, more athletic, and more talented. The guy is a stiff plain and simple. Who cares if he shaved his head and is trying to be more rugged...this team is full of players + contracts nobody wants.

A lot of people talk like Ward is worth something because of his contract or his work ethic. If he is worth so much why hasnt anyone made a legitimate offer for him? If the Ward+Knight combo was so cap friendly, why was Knight waived and Ward is still a Knick? Oh yeah I forgot, we needed a starting PG and since Ward is SOOOOO much better then FWill and Eisley (thats just sad) we decided to keep him. Lets get serious guys, this team has unmoveable parts.

Our best part was Spree and we got Keith for him but thats another threat that has been disucces to death. BTW look at Spree now that he is teaming with KG and Cassell. Isn't looking so old and done now is he? He was worth more than VH - they should have got Neterovic in a sign + trade, at least the guy is a legit center. That is what this team really needed and Mutombo is only effective for under 20 min a game if that.

What? Sprewell is slipping man, last night that (Rookie) for Seattle RONALD MURRAY knocked down the winning shot with Sprewell all up in his mug. Wovles are 4-4 so what's the big deal with acquisition of Mewell?

What is often forgotten is that we need to reduce our payroll also, not help teams reduce theirs.

If KT walks, Dice is let to walk, Ward expires, Doleac expires, that is over 27mil in payroll.

Commitments to crawford or white would have to be long term, and these players are underachieving. We can talk about potential, but thats all they have.

We do need to take risks on players, and that will come in time, but we need to shake down some of our payroll, then we can be more flexible.

Expansion with the bobcats loom, and that would open things ups. The bobs could take h20 if left unprotected, now that opens up another 18mil!

Trades give instant gradification, but in reality, we got some work to do also.

Playa... Ronald Murray can shoot it. He is a late-round gem it seems. He is a great shooter and will make some noise in this league. He gets the ball off very quickly and moves very well. He is a tough guy to cover.

Nedyal... GOOD post. I almost forgot about the expansion draft... Ohh... We sure can clear cap room with that one. I see that adding a boost to helping the cap situation next year.

I think a trade will go down fairly soon... maybe by New Year's. Sounds like Dyess is about to come back, so they have no choice but to clear the jam @ the 4 spot and maybe get someone to play the 1 or backup 2.

I like Crawford a lot but i also really like what Ward is doing right now. He's really playing very well and is on the verge of having his best season as a pro. I'm always skeptical trying to get a new point guard because this puts having Vujanic in new york next season in jepordy. He wants to come over when he can fit in. He could have this season but its too late for that. I'm really looking forward to him next year though and its more expected he will be over if we don't try to get a real good point guard.
