While Jamal Crawford does not question coach Don Nelson's decision to hold him out of tonight's game against the Charlotte Bobcats, according to the San Francisco Chronicle Crawford's agent does want answers.

The last time the two teams met Crawford dropped 50.

"What is the message that Nelson is sending to a young team? 'Don't play to win?' " Goodwin said. "What is the message he is sending to the fans who work hard to pay for Warriors tickets in order to see them win?

"Jamal is not injured, and not only is he averaging 19 points per game, but he scored 50 points on the (Bobcats) for a win earlier this season."

Nelson announced this week that he will begin resting his veterans "here and there" in an effort to give the team's youngsters more playing time.

they've officially entered all out tank mode, something we should be doing as well.

give it a week and we'll be tanking. poor jamal. he went from one of the worst run franchises... to another one of the worst run franchises. i wonder if he'll ever sniff the playoffs. i always thought he'd be a perfect 6th man for a good team like the Spurs or something.

I agree, play the young players and let them determine if the Kncks are playoff bound or headed to the lottery for a high pick.

i always envisioned him doing well w/a team like CLE as a backup scorer to Lebron... but since they already had Hughes there a couple years back maybe that wouldn't have worked out either... Jamal's got a lotta talent but his game is predicated on him dominating the ball & u can't really win w/him as your #1 go to guy... i dunno how well he'd fit w/the Spurs, Popovich would probably have reemed him out w/some of his shot selection in the first few games... he's a hard guy to fit into a winning system but i don't believe people who say he can never be a part of a winning program... if he'd have been playing w/that Warriors team when they had Baron, Al Harrington & Jax launching up 3's & running uptempo i think he could have done quite well... this Knicks team may have been in the playoff running if they hadn't made those Zach & Jamal trades too at this point, but we all knew we weren't winning any championships w/that roster so it was time to move on & shed salary for 2010.

Cleveland had a guy like that his name was Larry Hughes.

Not to mention Larry Hughes. I wonder why TMS didn't mention that.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

after about 2 weeks a good portion of GS fans started calling him Crawful too and begging he opts out

overall sentiment: he is a no D playing chucker

and it was argued this was our best player...lol...

a guy like Crawfored can't succeed in the most guard friendly coach's system in the league then whats left?

Walsh really robbed GS here. It's been a while since we ended up the unambiguous victor in a trade.

Crawful is a bum. If you're tanking you play him 40 minutes a night and let him chuck you out of games. GS fans can't stand him already they want him gone they pray he opts out. Oughta tell ya something.

If we could only stop having threads on Marbury and Crawford people would start feeling better already.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Sure, but it's often a balancing act between winning with veterans vs developing youth. If your season is over and the best you can get from the season is lottery placement, doesn't it stand to reason that you play to win but with the youth? Doesn't that serve the most interests at that point in time?

Did you see who we had playing the final minutes of the Sixers game? I think we may be tanking as well.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

That is part of the strategy in the NBA.
