While I think we add Lebron in 2010, I can see us going back to a 7/8 man rotation by 2011. The free agent class of 2011 has a few MDA favorites. I can see the rotation looking something like this:

PG - Nash
SG - Lebron James
SF - Wilson Chandler
PF - Boris Diaw
F/C - Amare Stoudemire

Bench - Duhon, N8, Gallinari, 2009 draft pick if not traded

To that end, I think Walsh will look to trade Lee for Stoudemire or Diaw in the summer to get the roster he sees in the future sooner. A Lee for Diaw and their 2009 draft pick. Trade one 1st round draft pick and an expiring for Nash in 2009, then re-sign Nash to the MLE and sign Lebron in 2010 . Then we sign Stoudemire in 2011 could be one scenario

However it lays out, I think Lebron, Nash, Stoudemire and Diaw are all on the roster by 2011.

my guess is that Amare's knees are shot by that time and Nash is retired

what's your next idea? Thunder Dan Majerle comes out of retirement in 2015 to play for us?
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Allan Houston would be the perfect 6th man in this offense!

"Depending on how things turn out, it could be Nash's last run through the desert. The 13-year veteran has all but been promised a contract extension from the Suns - or at least an offer of one - according to sources in the Nash camp.

But if things continue to unravel, Nash has considerable leverage. If the cash-strapped Suns come with a less-than-satisfying offer, Nash could balk. The team has an option on the last year of his contract and is certain to pick it up, considering about $7-million (U.S.) is guaranteed Nash regardless. But if Nash doesn't sign an extension, the Suns would have to consider trading him this summer rather than lose him for nothing in free agency in the summer of 2010.

"I haven't thought that far ahead," Nash said, though he talked this season about the possibility of ending his career in Toronto or New York. "I'm going to see how this season goes and take it from there." For now, his focus is on finishing the 2008-09 season strong - and fast."

nash will be a knick. dantoni needs him and he'll probably get him on the cheap. he spends the off seasons in ny and maintains permanent residence here. then, duhon and he can share minutes and dantoni gets a boner again from having his buddy back on his team....

write it down, staple it somewhere...this is FACTORIAL
