OK, so what if Charlie Ward has a career year and we go back to the damn Lottery again? Ooohhh, wow. That does the team as much good as year did us when Allan had a career year.

Basically, individual accolades don't add up to squat if it fails to pay off @ the end of the season.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Funny. The last time Charlie had a breakout year was when he was up for contract renewal. Then, the next season, he played like crap. Hmmmmmmm.

Contract year, yes. Buyout year too. And now a more tradable asset. Keep thoses assists going Charlie!

We all know what Charlie Ward's game is. Hard-nosed, good help defender, but overall mediocre. Too slow, not creative enough, no pull-up J, decent shot off the pass.

Unless I'm playing fantasy league, don't care what his stats say. So what if he's averaging 7 apg. So what if he shot 3's at a better % last year than he ever has. His game isn't transformed in any fundamental way, and he's not good enough to start for a good team, and only good enough to play significant minutes for a good team if its got a lot of other talent to mask his weaknesses.

My only hope is that this year's stats show potential trading partners that he's not in some accelerated phase of decline.

Everyone's saying it, and it's been true for years: we need some athletes on this team. Let's start at the point.

you really think his performance thus far is making the rest of the league notice him more? I hope so, but I have my doubts.

I would like to see Eisley traded before Ward... If we can get rid of THAT contract... it would do us good.

Hopefully Milos changes that dynamic next season?

Since Milos might be heading to the Knicks next season.Should the Knicks still pull of a trade for a PG.I know people are talking about Crawford but i dont see him being dealt due to Willaims accident.Whats up with Jackson(Sac),Atkins(Det),Tinsley(Ind).

Then if not i would like to see sf-sg Miles(Cle),Robinson(Chi)

let me tellyou something. I would be browsing around to see the interests in ward thomas deke doleac harrington + frank williams and maybe even the Mcdyess contract.

If we are losing I would fire sale everything for young castoffs picks and ending contratcs--even if it was deemed that i got the short end of the stick wouldnt care. Go get me a Stromile Swift Rodney white and all other young athletic perceived junk and lets try them here. If they fail-no big deal--what am i losing anyway? ami resigning ward for 5mm? LOL

Charlie just passes to Houston - he doesnt make plays, Houston just makes shots (except when necessary).

Someone asked about Bobby Jackson on Sac....the only players on this team they would have use for are H20 and Thomas. Ward is worthless to them, they have a ton of great players anyway - they just got Miller and Webber hasn't even played this season yet. Jackson is an awesome player I really dont see them trading him to NY for anything we would be willing to part with. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see him in NY but I just dont see it happening.
