I hope he doesnt get 10 mill per, but he is a better player than Hughes and look how much he is making.

I'm convinced that basically no player will get over the mid-level this off-season.

Think about who's available and who's going to be buying, and what their priorities are re: 2010.

If you're looking at signing Lee and he wants 10 mil, why don't you give the agent for Wallace or Odom a call?

If you want Nate and he asks for 10 mil, why not give Marbury or AI a call?

Lee is unique and marketable, so maybe he has a chance to get past that, but honestly, where is their leverage?
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

15 teams just filed for what amounts to bail out money from the NBA.

That's more than half of the available landing spots for free agents.

Its going to be a strange off season

This is a bad year to be a free-agent
I just hope that people will like me

If I were the Knicks I would give Nate a reasonable offer over the MLE. He WILL get atleast an MLE offer but I don't think he will sign it--nevertheless--I think it's good business to pay a young player fairly based on production and I think 6 years 45 mm with a team option on the last year is fair compensation.

We should basically take the Diaw and Barbosa deals from a few years ago, shave off 10% or so and offer that to Nate and Lee.

They are similar players and similar ages.

agree with briggs, offer nate something reasonable and if he bolts, so be it. it doesn't get better playing at the garden in d'antoni's system for nate. if he wants a little more money to go play in sacramento, peace king.

with regards to lee, i think somebody will make him a big offer and i don't think the knicks should match. he's not a great big man, he looks nice in this system but i think plenty of guys will look nice in this system. i'd rather have flexibility in 2010 than have lee locked up for a while, just the way i see it.

If he gets offered too much, you gotta try and do a sign and trade with the team that's offering it.

If we lose major assets now... might take a lot longer than 2010 to build this baby up.

i just wanna add that Nate Robinson is averaging 17/4/4....in 30 mins....all of his peers that are averaging the same points are doing it with more minutes....

See Duhon is supposedly run down cuz of the enormous amount of minutes he plays...what it it? 60 mins per game?....yeah well he's averaging 38 minutes....if Nate was averaging 38 minutes you could count Nate for at least 21/5rebs?????/5 assists....AT LEAST!!!

GM's in NBA knows about D'Antoni's systems. They know Nate & Lee 's numbers are over their real possibilities. Just look at Barbosa without D'Antoni... overpaid, no doubt. I don't think Nate will get more than 6M and I guess Lee will be in 8-9M. Lee can't defend a ****.

btw, Nate and AI are not on the same level, AI is a better player no doubt but he's older so teams that want future will sign Nate before even if they can get AI cheaper. Same thing for Lee and his 'rivals' on free agency this summer.

The good thing for us is that the economy will have every team being conservative with their money. I doubt Lee gets an offer over $9 million and I doubt Nate gets an offer over $7 million. GMs know that MDA's system adds a few points and rebounds due to the increased possessions. That being said, I don't think we can resign Nate and Lee at those numbers, unless Walsh can package this year's pick or some other asset with Jeffries or Curry and get rid of one of them.

Lee can rebound in any system and now he is getting shots. Now other teams are trying to stop him and he still scores. At the first of they year everyone was saying he couldnt play in this system. If what lee is doing is so easy then Walsh should have traded him this year and got that player. They had a chance to get lee cheap I dont think that chance is there anymore.

Terry gets 19.9 per game in 33 min per game... just sayin...

Nate is going crazy lately though. He'll have his average over 20ppg by the end of the season.
