because we desperately needed Jared Jefferies & his 0 points, 0 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 steals & 5 personal fouls in 17 minutes apparently... that's not easy to do in 1 game.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

right & i forgot his missed 3 point attempt... it's all about the intangibles w/Fishlips that makes him so valuable to the team.

The better question is where was Gallo? He came in at the end of the game hitting everything. Does he need to get buried to get motivated?

I didn't see the game, but I just noticed that Gallo had 5 boards in limited minutes. We need more of those things from him. It's clear the kid can shoot, but we didn't spend the 6th pick to draft Jason Kapono. The Knicks drafted Gallo because they think he's a player.

The reasons Wilcox got limited minutes is because he is a banger. The problem with him being a banger is when you are looking to bang against Dwight, more times than not you're gonna lose. He has no outside shot so what good was he gonna be?

Now the reason JJ was in the game was because he is longer than Wilcox. He can play faster players as well. He wasn't in the game to guard Dwight for the most part. In the 4th quarter, Harrington was playing Dwight. It was the only way we could get Dwight to come out from under the basket. You can't sit under the basket if your man is raining threes. That also opened up the lanes for Nate to penetrate also.

It worked quite well but we just couldn't get the stops we needed and we couldn't make the big shots either.

The only logic for not playing Wilcox is if you are trying to keep his minutes low so that we can resign him cheap. If he got 20 minutes a game, he probably would put up 8 pts and 7 rebounds, which is not bad at all. I am sure the Knicks want to resign him cheap this summer.

I can't believe what a poor player Jefferies is. He reminds me of a rec league player. If he were not 6'11" he would never make it to the D league never mind the NBA. Because he can drible from foul line to foul line he is considered veratile, but his limitations far out way everything else.

Jeffries only plays because we switch everything on defense. If our guards could play D i bet Jeffries would play ZERO minutes. What's even more troubling is that D'antoni believes that Jeffries so called "versatility" on being able to defend multiple positions helps us play better defense.

Dwight didn't respect Wilcox shooting so he never really strayed from close to the basket same case with Lee. That's why D'Antoni went with Al Harrington and Gallo at C position to get Dwight Howard away from the basket so as to open up the lane. Thats when the KNicks made their comeback.

He's right....D'antoni was trying to win the game. wilcox isn't ready for big minutes yet. We'll see him in a week.

Or Wilcox might be pissed at the organization for screwing his stats in his contract year and then would go to another team.

If we're gonna get a max contract FA in 2010 and we're going to keep our young players, we'll want the rest of the roster filled with very cheap players who can play adequately in this league. Depending on the exact salary in his next contract, Wilcox might very well fit that description.

i dunno about u but allowing Dwight Howard a 20 / 20 game is not what i'd call doing a good job on him on D.

Isn't that part of the reason Jefferies got 6 mil from Isiah? Because he was supposed to be able to get the stops we need? Oh, I forgot it's because Jared is +

Or maybe when Isiah called him a glue guy, he meant his ass should be glued to the bench and since we are New York, we can pay our "glue guys" more than any other team.
