What would be your first choice regarding our future starting PF?
Sign Odom for $5 mil annually (MLE level contract)
Sign David Lee for $9 mil annually
Sign both
Sign neither

If a team can sign Odom for 5 mil, then Lee will never get 9
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

No one knows what David Lee's market value is as of now. The league will set that for the Knicks. As for Odoms what dream world are you guys living in to think you can have him for 6 million. He will command as much if not more than Lee.

Lamar Odom is averaging 10.9 points and 7.6 rebounds a game on 50%fg. Lee is averaging 16.6 ppg and 11.9 rebounds on 56% fg. Odom has an eff rating of +15.7 and Lee is +23.4.

Lamar will be 30 next season. Lee will be 26. Sounds to me like 5 mil for Odom is reasonable

Lamar is playing a role for a team that is going to be competing for a championship. Since he was inserted into the starting lineup his number have gone up to numbers comparable to Lee's. Tell me what kind of numbers Lee would have on the Lakers. What kind of numbers would Odoms have on the Knicks if they switched places. They are very similar in production. They will get about the same amount, I don't think a player like Odoms who is versatile and can play multiple positions is a 5 mill player.

I actually think that Lee would thrive on any team. Its not as if he is the focal point of our offense or anything. I think that in this stage of each players respective career Lee is the better and more valuable player.

right now we have no other choice but to sign Lee cuz u'd be a fool to let him walk for nothing in free agency... if he keeps improving then he will be an Allstar PF next season & maybe Donnie just decides to keep him longterm afterall... otherwise u still have a valuable asset to use in a future trade... either way, u gotta sign D Lee right now cuz the trade deadline has passed & any chance to work any deals that Donnie was looking to make is gone for the time being.

I think Odom is worth 8-10million to most teams..............

I'd work on a sign and trade for McGee and maybe Blatche for Lee. That would change our frontcourt entirely.
