What is Sal. Ratio? Hoe is it good or bad?

Things look a heck of a lot better now than they did to start the year. I think the Curry situation is the only thing of serious concern. We'll have to address that next year. This roster is full of short term contracts now. The young talent is coming along. This is a good start for Walsh and the Knicks.

its a system real gm came up with to determine salary. Marbury is making Kevin Garnett money...smh...funny thing is at one point he was worth that money.

anyway thats not the point....the point is look at the roster and all the talent....now look to see how many years are left on their contracts...now imagine the possibilities to make trades next year and then think about 2010 free agency. The Knicks are finally set up for the future...at the same time this group of guys can seriously compete with anyone!!!

the curry situation is big and i think we're going to have to decide who we are willing to sacrifice to get rid of eddy curry. would we give up lee for more cap space in 2010? Keep in mind we'll be able to sign lee to a relatively cheap contract since nobody is going to want to spend a lot in 2009. It'll be interesting to see where this goes...I have a hunch someone will get packaged with curry, and we'll have to absorb jeffries' contract. we also should keep in mind there are some great players (CP3 is one of them, I think) who will be available come 2011, so I'd rather not see us over spend for guys like amare and joe johnson.

Although some of the Isiah deals have been easier for Walsh to move (JJ1) given that years have gone by, its still pretty shocking to see Walsh turn over junk, make us competitive now AND put us in a position to be players in 2009 & 2010.

Really highlights the ineptitude of Isiah, and his many trades & FA signings.

These trades didn't change our salray cap situation. Is that what we're boasting about in this thread?

Not a hater. I just want to see the 2010 plan work if that's what we're going for.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Its already written that the Knicks will be under the cap. Most of the Knicks contracts will be off the books that year...so its not a matter of waiting and seeing cuz its already the case.

Donnie traded Zach and Craw when nobody thought it was possible.....

Donnie traded Jerome for christsake!!! That's pimpin!!!

He didn't take anybody back that can't be moved or has more years left....that's what's awesome.

The icing on the cake is this team can actually compete at a high level still....wicked!!!
