Wilcox-Lee-Harrington-Hughes-Duhon

I like Chandler at starting 2 guard--I think by next year he could averaged 18-20 from the 2 guard

yea, i agree with cosmic, i think the moves indicate the knicks wanna make a run for the playoffs, so i think we're looking at wilcox/lee/harrington/hughes/duhon with nate, jeffries, chandler, and qrich off the bench. not a bad squad for d'antoni's system after what we had last year, excited to see if we can make a run for the playoffs.

I think you stick with the current lineup and bring Wilcox and Hughes off the bench. They don't know the system and the Knicks look like they want to make a playoff push.

need to play gallo in there. He needs to get consistent minutes.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

Yeah, there's no way you just throw those guys in the fire. Let them in easily.

That is a must to me. We absolutely must develop him as a 2 guard.

I think Hughes and Wilcox both start. Wilcox finally gives us someone who can play center

I like those deals. they give D'Antoni a lot of flexibility for lineups/matchups.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I'm smelling a tyson chandler like revival for Wilcox.

hopefully Fishlips or Q Rich gets traded for Mike James

C - Wilcox / Gallo / Fishlips?
PF - Lee / Harrington
SF - Chandler / Q Rich? or PEJ
SG - Hughes / Nate
PG - Duhon / James

C Wilcox
PF Lee
SF Harrington (MDA will change this each week)
SG Hughes
PG Duhon
bench: Nate, Chandler, QBrick, Gallo

Thats actually a good defensive starting unit with massive scoring firepower coming off the bench.

I like that squad a lot.

yeah, me too. a defensive backcourt! amazing!

if he could just somehow pawn Jefferies off on the wizards, donnie would be a saint in my eyes.

I don't see how you start Lee and Wilcox in this offense and have it run the same.

Wilcox would have to fill in the minutes when Lee's out.

Is Hughes better than Chandler? I wonder if Hughes is going to be the backup PG more than a starting shooting guard.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Surprisingly, Wilcox blocks shots much like Eddy Curry- near zilch. I would have expected better from someone like him.

as opposed to starting DLee and Jefferies? I know D'Antoni had been playing with the lineup lately, but we were getting killed on defense, too. Wilcox isn't a shotblocker, but he's a big burly body who does play some defense and grab a decent amount of rebounds.

i don't know if you start Hughes or Chandler, but I view Chandler as a 3. Hughes is at least a pure guard and we needed another one of those. he can defend the perimeter and bring the ball up the court, at minimum. a few years ago, people laughed when anyone said Jamal might be better than Hughes - if this is the right system for him he can shine. he shined in Washington and Golden State, both teams that played up tempo systems.
