Considering we cannot unload Jeffries and Eddy...
What do you think is better?

The NBA is a superstars league...

Superstar(1) + Superstar(2) + second round scrubs (3-8) >>>>>>>>>>>>>> current roster + Superstar(1)

pretty sure that nobody is averaging 13.8 assists and 44.9 points per game
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

You can't just add up players averages and compare them to a single player.
It doesn't work that way. By that logic, 15 D-leaguers > Lebron.

You never get my point…
I am talking about so called "Max Player 2".
Team cannot play the game with 2 NBA level players and win more that 20 games.
Why in the world any superstar will too this kind of humiliation on himself if he has much better choices?

Anyway, I think we're fine keeping Duhon, Lee, and Nate depending on what they are asking, signing what we can in 2010, and still have more capspace available in 2011.

Lee & Nate are the keys to winning a championship... i can't believe we haven't won 1 already... Lebron + Lee + Nate = NBA championship in 2010 for sure... GO KNICKS!

See thread about league finances, and where the cap # might be in 2010, we might barely have room for 1 free agent!

Nate is a luxury item, like a porsche. He is a high energy guy, and I bet around 2010, or shortly thereafter, his game is going to sloow down. Just a bit, but enough that he will stop being a bargain.

We should trade him now & get back either 1 or 2 first round picks.

Do not forget this team is not Ford-250; it's more like Escalade.
It always will be build to show-up, not to win it all.
Who is paying is ordering the music...
So Lebron, Nate, and Lee is awesome combination. It's marketing miracle and goldmine.

i think best case scenario for this team would be to draft someone who is at least allstar level in the 2009 draft.

i think Dlee, Duhon, Nate, quality lotto pick on their level, Chandler, Gallo is a decent core.

this draft is very important, as is the development of gallo. i think continuity is important, as is having a deep, versatile core. look at the Lakers, that's a deep deep team.

I'm inclined to believe that the NBA is a superstar's league, but what about the 2003-2004 Pistons? I loved that team, and always wished we could have a team like that... it was so balanced and had tons of guts.

Agreed, but to be fair, they did benefit from the Lakers completely imploding that season. Still, they jumped on them and beat them down in 5 games.
