Thabby's getting outplayed by Blair so far with 13:00 left.

Kemba Walker looks nice, but small. Extremely quick on both ends.

Sam Young looks like a Chandler type player. Maybe better range. Had no idea he was scoring at the same clip as players like Johnny Flynn.

Will players like Fields and Price make the League? They're great but lack size.

Pitt and the refs won't let Thabeet even show what kind of game he has. He looks stunned.

Young is the only one I can see playing in our system.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Walker's having a nice stretch now. Very composed, looking PG like.

Crazy game. UConn really going for it.

Blair reminds me of Milsap. Won't find a home with NY, but a nice player.

I'd like to see UCONN-UNC in the final four to see if Walker or Lawson is faster than the other.

Great steal by Walker. Haven't seen many dishes from him, but one of the fastest players I've seen.

Pitt looks like they'll pull it out.

Great great game.

Big East is nuts.

That was a rock fight. We are going to miss Jerome Dyson--he's the difference in what was a great team now is a very good team. We had them at 56-51 and just let down--give the credit to PITT but this is not the same team without Dyson. The guard were gassed mainly Price.

UConn is going to miss Dyson badly. His absence was felt tonight.

That 4th foul call on Thabeet was horsecrap.

I know Dyson was a big part of their success but don't think for one sec. he was why they lost tonight. Tonight was all about DeJuan Blair OWNING Thabeet and the rest of the Huskies' frontline. Blair is an absolute beast. BEAST! He won that game for them tonight, with some help from Sam Young who had a big game himself (and is very underrated btw - very nice mix of athleticism, power and perimeter) and a couple of big late threes from Fields. Dyson going down hurts but it's time for guys like Price, Austrie & Walker to band together and make up the difference. I think they still have enough. Price came to play tonight. Other than that, a couple of late meaningless dunks by Adrien. That was about it... Thabeet was invisible as far as I'm concerned - as tough as Blair is physically, you would have thought there would've been no way for Blair to score on Thabeet one on one as easily as he did. That's a 6'6"/6'7" guy against a 7'3" monster. Real case of David & Goliath tonight man. Remember when Shaq first came into the league, what monster he was? Our guy's, Ewing included, had a hard time executing anything down low against him. I remember once in Orlando, Shaq blocked Anthony Mason's shot on almost every attempt one game. I was curious if we were going to see something similar tonight like that and we didn't... Very surprised how easily Blair won the matchup on the interior - he had his way down there. Blair deserves a lot of the credit as well. Say what you want about him not being tall enough - he plays tough, hardnosed ball like a real PF should and he really took it to Thabeet and handed him his hat & in his own gym too. Forget the play where he flipped Thabeet to the floor like a wrestler going for the rebound - it was the play where he stuffed Thabeet's putback attempt late and all in one motion threw that touchdown pass for the layup that put this one away - that's a play I'll remember for a long time to come. That might be the play of the year in college basketball this season. Jimmy Calhoun sitting Thabeet for that long stretch after he picked up his last foul was a little odd no? He's got to get him back in there a lot sooner IMO. Calhoun looked really annoyed at him - came up and got in his face a couple of times... Blair's had bigger scoring games but he saved his best game of his career for tonight. Says a lot about him. I think tonight Blair secured himself as a top 10 lottery pick in this draft. If I'm a team looking to sure up my PF spot in this draft and Griffin & Hill are off the table, I'd have to really look long and hard at Blair. I think he's better than Patrick Patterson...

No excuses we lost. Losing Jerome Dyson changes this team. this team was the best team in America with Jerome. He's not replaceable--how can you replace your best athlete best perimeter defender best slasher and second leading scorer? Unfortunately we ran into trouble with a recruit name Nate Miles who was supposed to be our starting SF/SG and we have no room for injury which was sustained. the game was 56-51 and we took the foot off the pedal---I don't care about individual scoring I only care about team play and we didnt play the full 40 minutes which is why we lost.

Blair could end up being a factor in the NBA, like a Milsap with more skills, but there are so many other players in that mold that have not been worthy of a high pick, you wonder if teams would take a leap of faith on Blair.

May, Sweetney, Mo Taylor, Tractor Trailor... Curry for that matter... they are all similar.

It is harder to name players like that who have been worth a high pick in recent years.
