from realgm via the oklahoman....nothing new....but they mention trading Richard Jefferson to a playoff contender. I don't see a playoff contender with any expirings...at least not off the top of my head. Clevland has Lebron, Detroit are already complaining about Iversons scoring...

anyway...Tyson Chandler, Jefferson, and Amare are names mentioned...

Still their are guys like hilton armstrong, Sessions, and some other role guys on these teams that could help the Knicks.

Any bright ideas?

Dinglebury for Jefferson and Damon Jones.

Rose, TT and Nate for Amare.

We fast forward to 2010 assuming you consider Jefferson as top talent.

I like the idea of trading with New Orleans, because their team is decent.

What about Malik Rose and Anthony Roberson for Antonio Daniels, Rasual Butler, and a 2010 pick? We get guards that expire in our required time frame, a pick when we need it, and the Hornets save a bunch of money

in the same vein of saving the suns some money- here is one inspired by the all star game

Lee & Marbs to Suns

Shaq to LA

Bynum & Odom to NYC.

And maybe having one or two first rounders coming our way?

Lakers maybe wanting to take a pass on Bynum- hurt two years in a row?

Suns start to rebuild & lose some cap money- they follow up with an Amare trade elsewhere for additional youth.

And Briggs gets his dream center & one who probably fits in with D'Antoni as he's already playing the high post in the triangle.

We're not winning now so we can wait for Bynum to get healthy.

And, in the mean time, MDA gets to field his dream unit

And that unit sets an NBA record for NOT taking anything but three pointers for an entire game!

I hate Jefferson, not a NY guy, but your roster is an example of how you can build a team without the 2010 plan. Maybe a better one than max players and no one else.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

If the Knicks are gonna try for Richard jefferson then they need to trade a small fwd early....cuz what the hell are they gonna do with wilson, al, gallo, timmy and Q?

I dunno.....it would be cool to do something but the massive hole is at the 2 and the 5 not the 3.

this move to save money will extend to the draft and through the summer. i hope donnie is able to take advantage of some of this.
